Just a three things that goes unnoticed. You can take the lid of completely by double clicking the lid. It makes for a brighter and more enveloping sound. You can create a random piano by right clicking on the console top and reducing the wet in the reverb mix allows the piano to sound fully.
Been waiting for this for 10 years. Bravo
Beautiful sound and a great demonstration of Pianotech 8.
Pure Piano is really good for $30. Lots of tone colors, effects, and controls.
I’m really enjoying Pianoteq in demo mode. Currently saving up for the Standard version. Hopefully by the summer. It really sounds excellent, and I’m glad to see it on iOS. The Hohner collection seems great. I think that plus a Steinway and Tines would be perfect. After playing these sounds and going back to my other apps, there’s really no comparison.
The beauty of the D Felt had me sold.
Thanks for explaining the pricing model and showing what functionality you get in the various demo modes. What an amazing app! That classical guitar sounds really good too!
Checking out the Mac version it seems there are only Standard and Stage trials available (20 min plus some muted notes) rather than the 40-odd minutes available on the iPad free version (edit: actually, at the end of 20 min it seems you can "rewind" the clock by up to 50min by clicking a clock several times, without reloading the app. Also the download is 281 Mb compared to 60 Mb. Very nice!
Yes, it’s a fab app
It's one of the bests, but too expensive. I hope they could change the pricing scheme to allow to buy only an iOS license to help lower costs.
That’s the difference between Pro and Amateur software . Pro staff are expensive. If you buy iOS version you will get desk version too!
That harp took me to Skyrim. Sounds really good.
Ok, its huge and a pricey product but also excellent in quality. Thank you Doug.
Hi Piktor, not sure what you mean by huge, if you are referring to the size of the app, it’s actually tiny, the whole entire thing is around 60mb 😊
Hi Doug, oh sorry about that. As I wrote that I really had "60GB" in mind - for whatever reason. 🥴 In fact there are some products with a footprint of several GB (Korg Module or Crudebyte XPad) but 60GB is so absurd that I should have checked this.😞 Pianoteq is of course really lean for what you get here. 👍
Am I correct in thinking that I can only demo the different instruments if I first purchase Stage?
No, you don’t have to buy anything, just download Pianoteq 8 from the App Store and you can play all the instruments
For the price..the guitars sound terrible…pianos I already have…just saying….
