I'd be interested in a Documentary about the Space Venture experience. Many lessons to learn.
Every time I mention SpaceVenture I get a bunch of dickweeds telling me I'm a lying parasite. So... it's not gonna be me who does that documentary.

I am really looking forward to this documentary! What I really want, though, is a full-length dramatized movie about Ken, Roberta, and the rise and fall of Sierra. Oh, well, probably will never happen.

I saw the ad for this on Facebook, and thought this would be something you would be interested in.
I remember when I was just a kid and I was also a nerd playing police quest one and I couldn't get past some of the things so I actually connected to a bulletin board system on my computer and they had a Sierra online BBS. But before then I actually wrote to Sierra with mail and they actually gave me a response with the solution and an official letter head I wish I kept those.
This is cool! Sierra games were my childhood!
This looks like something I've been wanting all my life. Surprised they haven't hooked Jane Jensen for an interview so far (or aren't advertizing it if she's part of the "many more") - something of a key designer at least later on. Joss Mandell of course. Designers for the less popular games could be cool too, musicians, artists...janitors :), but maybe with that next stretch goal. Regardless, this is very exciting!
I believe they have secured an interview with Jane, although it's not mentioned in their pitch video. I even had her appearance in my script and the video was approved by the filmmakers before I published it, so... if that info turns out to be incorrect, or if I accidentally spilled two beans for the price of one, then... whoops?

My concern wasn't really about the end of Sierra. That's an angle I haven't even considered, tbh. I was thinking more about Sierra employees' relationship with Ken and other upper management.
Lots of those stories have been recounted already, even by Ken himself in his book, so I'm sure the interview subjects won't feel like they're overstepping boundaries by sharing them. I do share your concern that they're going to be "nice for the sake of the camera," but at least it doesn't sound like the documentary will go out of its way to bury any stories that come out of those interviews. If people choose not to air their dirty landry, that's on them and not the filmmakers... in my humble opinion.
Personally, I would LOOOOOVE to hear Lorelei Shannon finally spill the beans on what the fuck happened to KQ7... but that's her prerogative.
