Watching this movie again, after nearly 20 years. I never regarded it as horror, just a cautionary tale on the perils of uncontrolled research. Also, the first bittersweet ending that I enjoyed actually.
Me Too. I saw it as a kid but never forgot it. The story was good.
I never saw it before, but after seeing the ending, I can’t see this as a horror film, and there were some horror films back in the 90s that I don’t want to see ever again. This was just science fiction gone wrong with people hurt by the outcome and needing to move past it.
I was looking for the preview and found this! COOL - this was my first produced movie that I wrote - so glad to see someone other than me remembers it!

@@TwilightLink77 I wrote it - it was originally produced for the then-new UPN United Paramount Network (hence the logo) which later became the CW. It was a co-pro with Canada, so it's likely Paramount does not own the film - they just had distribution rites. I would LOVE to see it up on Paramount +

I wrote it - sad, yes - but the point of it was Peter needed a tough lesson that he was not living his life - it took the accidental life cycle of Jasmine for him to see that.
