    Thank you for sharing your family, recopies and memories. You all make up a very nice family. I remember trying to walk around in my father's shoes when I was a young kid. What fond memories. Thank you again. God bless your homestead.

    Are those Concord grapes? They reminded me of the grape vines that I grew for a 4H project when I was a teenager.
    They’re long gone, my Dad got tired of taking care of them, that was over 50 years ago.
    I love how practical and down to earth you are. Glad you got a vacation!♥️👍🙏😎🇺🇸

      I'm honestly not sure what kind of wild grapes they are. They were here when we bought our property but from what I've read/seen of concord, they could be! Thanks for watching!

      @@FromScratchFarmstead concords are what Welch’s grape juice is made from. Do they taste like that?

    Looked like a great vacation! Wisconsin is such a beautiful spot to escape to. We went to Rice Lake for a few summers and I loved it.
    I'm definitely going to try your fudgsicle recipe. The one I've been making is delicious, too. It uses unsweetened chocolate almond milk (I eat keto so no regular milk for me, but regular milk would work), cocoa powder, and cream cheese (or coconut cream for dairy free). But I'd love to do the avocado one. My favorite brownie recipe is made with avocado. I make the egg tortillas fairly often.
    I love seeing how your garden and fruit trees are doing and am glad everything was fine when you got home. Beautiful apples!

    Wow! Looks like a great time!
    How is the texture of the gummies? When I try making them (using a different recipe), they turn out more like jello than a solid gummie. Do you think the blooming process would help that issue?

    • @FromScratchFarmstead
      @FromScratchFarmstead  3 місяці тому +1

      I'd try adding a bit more gelatin if they aren't as firm as you'd like them to be. The blooming helps with the gelatin not clumping together but more gelatin will help them to be more solid. Hope this helps!

      Liberty's have been a great early fruiting variety and highly pest resistant. We got all of our trees from FedCo in Maine. It was definitely an investment but the quality has been great and they have a huge variety. Thanks for watching!

    During this past Christmas season, there was a huge news report of lead being in all sorts of cocoa powder, with some of the organic brands having the highest amount of lead. I was bummed, and after doing a lot of research, I will only buy navitas cocoa powder brand who has a third party test the product for lead.

    The french call it a crepe, the russians call it a blini, the americans call it an egg tortilla 🤔
