      It was my pleasure to feature such a beautiful model train! Thanks for allowing me to share it with others, however they should go see it in person to take it all in!

    The really old steam engines always seem to have a light right in front of them. Was this really an electric light, or did they have port hole view of the fire box ?

      I don't believe they had a port hole. I know early on some were kerosene, and I'm sure late electric.

    Nice but you never even pointed out the American Flyer PA1 Rocket 2 unit Diesel's or the beautiful 4-6-4 Hudson.

      Thanks. I'm still kind of new at this. Starting this as a retirement project. I'll try to be more descriptive in the future. Thanks for your input.

      That's ok Peter, you do a great job. I am sort of a historian on The A.C Gilbert Company that was in New Haven, Conn. I just saw an S Gauge American Flyer 926 3 Dome tank car on one of the marvelous displays at that fabulous Railroad Museum. I hope someone builds an American Flyer layout there some day soon. Gilbert stressed realism with his great model electric train which on the cover of the1957 American Flyer read.... American Flyer the most realistic electric trains. Yes, there are layouts that were built 1950s era and have a lot of realistic action from trains with Air chime electric whistles and Horns that sound like real plus Choo Choo sounds, real puffing white smoke and diesel roar that people say they can't get enough of and will come back for more. Extra money for the museum admission.

      Thanks for your feedback. Did you just not like the music I chose, or would you have preferred no music at all?

    Man they run them way too fast

    • @guestadventures247
      @guestadventures247  2 роки тому +1

      Yes. The people that were at the museum when we were there were not model railroaders, so I'm sure they had no idea to run them slower. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      @@guestadventures247hey there! All of our model trains run at a speed that has been programmed by our modelers. The guys in the collared purple shirts in a few of these shots actually are some of our modelers. While every staff member gets trained (lol) in model train basics such as cleaning and resetting, only our modelers handle the actual programming. This is to ensure everything stays consistent all day everyday. While we do get a few comments about the trains running too fast, we get just as many saying they run too slow. We will be expanding our back layout in the near future, so definitely come see us again if you’re ever in the area! And thank you again for sharing such a wonderful video!
