Big thanks for sending in the questions. Hope this was helpful and look out for those other videos coming soon. Got more questions? Add them here and I’ll let them build up then do a second Q&A if we get enough. Thanks again! 👊
Is there things like chapter benefits or klan kultures? I see the keyword blank in the datacard... i cant find anything in the compendium either other than them mentioning the clans lore wise.
Can you charge and enter melee from either side of heavy terrain if there is a window, and the objective of the charge is within one inch of the heavy terrains window?
Played a few games with 3 and 4 players. Had a free for all 4 player game, it was fine, we dropped tac ops for all of them. We also did several 2 vs 2 games and it was a lot of fun, we alternate who got to activate so person 1 on team 1 goes first, then person 1 on team 2, and person 2 on team 1 ect. For the 3 person game we had one player play two kill teams as if he was his own team mate following the 4 person game rules. We played all these games on a double size game board, we did find that it really hampered melee units so we've considered house ruling melee units a bit, maybe a forward deployment, a free move before combat, or longer moves for them or something like that.
We ended up using a hexagonal board for 3 player teams, a circular board works as well. I think the board diameter we used was 28" and it allowed each team to be deployed evenly between each other team. As for objectives the most balanced one we found was a domination style mission with each drop zone having one objective roughly 3-6 inches away from it, and a 4th objective dead center in the map that's worth 2VP for controlling. We've played about a half dozen matches and they're an absolute blood bath with everyone pushing to the middle to capture that valuable 2VP, or attempting to break out and flank the other deployment zones.
Thanks for making the tutorial series and this Q&A. You deserve a lot more recognition for putting in the work on this. Very well-made videos and concise presentation of the info. Looking forward to seeing more videos and seeing your channel grow.
Seconded, very well made and presented tutorials. Has a nice level of presentation and you've thought about how best to communicate via the media of videos.
Wow. I respect the patience you have for replying to some of these questions…. Some of these are very much the most basic elements of gameplay that the book very clearly outlines without ANY sort of ambiguity….
The mortal wound/crit hit question is tricky. Mortal wounds are applied before the target has a chance to save, but that is only due to how mortal wound work (they can't be blocked). However, there are other crit rules, like Reap, that only go off after a crit hits. The crit rules all specify which step in the attack sequence to apply the effect, it's best to look at them individually.
No biggie, but more content, yay. I'll reword the question so it is better for your video. Sorry I didn't realize before you were going to use the comments in the video.
Oh no sorry, I hope you didn’t mind having your name on there? The answer is pretty much the same, though. I hadn’t even noticed that extra rule for them so thanks for pointing it out, I’ll include it in the next fighter in focus video. There are rules everywhere! 🤣
Throat Slitaz on Pg 58 says the operative can perform a charge action when they are concealed. Do they stay concealed? It doesn't say it would change their orders so I assume they would still be concealed and protected from range weapons if they are near cover after the action is completed.
IDK if you still answer to these comments, but I have a question: In the rules for the space marines, it says "Every fire team except SCOUT and TACTICAL MARINE can take 1 additional WARRIOR operative." Does this extra warrior operative have to be from the same "type" of fire team, for example can an assault intercessor team take an extra infiltrator warrior, so that the whole team is 5 assault intercessors and 1 infiltrator, or does it have to be 6 assault intercessors?
For Q&A. How many equip items items i can have on a matched play session. Also if you are 3 people just have 1 guy control 2 killteams vs people who have 1 and have them share their CP equally meanwhile generating +2ap per turn. Sounds fun, not balanced :)
My biggest question: Is there klan cultures? Or chapter benefits.. things like that? I can't find anything on that.. but i can see there is still the keywords.. like or
I think there could be in the future as they update the game and bring in Kill Teams for specific chapters or factions like they did in the White Dwarf magazine for the Ad Mec. I can see them bringing out special rules for each Space Marine chapter at some point.
Thanks for your Kill Team content. It’s been a great resource to get to grips with the game. A question: actions of one operative that trigger action points spent from a second operative, can these actions still be performed if the second operative has been activated and has no action points left? Case in point the the Medic! ability: I have already activated my sergeant. My opponent now shoots the sergeant and incapacitates the sergeant. I now activate my medic, move him in range of the sergeant for 1 AP and now want to revive the sergeant. At the end of this action I must ‘Subtract 1 from both operatives’ APL’. The medic still has one, but the sergeant is at 0. I assume I therefore cannot perform the Medic! action?
If a MW from a crit goes trough before you can save it. Then if the dmg is 4/3 with 2 Mw on a crit. And you hit 2 hits + 1 crit. Now the defender rolls 1 save and 1 crit save. Then you should still block the 2 nirmal hits right? Since they do more dmg after the Mw went trough. This feels really weird, now i would never block a crit (unless it does someting like STUN or REAP after it hits) before have blocked all regular hits. Is this true?
Once I get playing more games and use some different kill teams I’ll definitely make some more videos on this. Also planning deep dives on the different kill teams looking at all their ploys, stats, etc 👊
I have a book where it uses inches for moving and inches on the data cards. It says on page 16 "Distances in Kill Team are measured in inches" It's the one with the 4 Space Marines in black on the cover dated inside as 2018. WTF is going on?
The game is quite complicated. It seems simple as gw adopted a lot of more modern gaming ideas from games like deadzone and infinity but due to the large faction and model support desired they have to stack tons of special rules.
At first I thought it was going to be easy with the shirt rules but then found out that are are rules scattered everywhere! It keeps getting more and more complicated 🤣

Thanks for waiting! That’s awesome of you to say, thanks so much. Loads more to come! 👊
Thank you so much! 👊

Thanks and thanks for watching too! 👊
Excellent !!! Thank you so much for doing this! I didn’t expect you would go to all this work. Best tutorial for Kill Team out there now :)
Hey thanks for the idea. It’s great to have suggestions and I make videos every day so if you have more ideas feel free to keep ‘em coming! 👊
Love the channel, dude. Watched every "how to" video you made so I can start playing with the homies. Super in-depth. Much appreciated.
That’s awesome to hear, thanks so much!
Looking forward to the video on AP and saves, glad I'm not the only one confused!!
Yeah it’s definitely confusing. I keep finding new rules dotted here and there! 🤪

Nicely put 👊 That appendix is going to be used a lot for sure!
Thanks for this!!
Thanks for the question too! 👊
Really appreciate your effort and dedication, amazing series :)
Thank you, and thanks for sending in your question too 👊
Unbelievable quality!
Glad it was helpful, thanks EI!
Throat Slitas was on pg 58 of the Octarious book, it is something orks have.
Aagh no I messed that up. I’ll have to do take it on again in the next one! 🥴
But to answer it here, I would say that they remain with the Conceal order until the next turning point.
No biggie, but more content, yay. I'll reword the question so it is better for your video. Sorry I didn't realize before you were going to use the comments in the video.

Whew, appendix is a pretty big spot to cover. Glad to see that Is coming
It could go into a few videos for sure, maybe even one each! 🤪

10 points worth of equipment or 10EP
That’s a cool idea, nice one! 👊

Thanks for watching! I would say you are right, you can’t perform the action if one operative does not have any AP remaining. 👊

That sounds right. The weapons with MW do tend to have a lower crit range characteristic.
Super helpful, thank you!
That’s awesome to hear, thanks for watching! 👊
Can you change the order of your operatives during a game?
Order of activation?
@@tabletopskirmishgames yes
Thanks
Thanks for watching! 👊
I'm still not aware of the power and balance of the Compendium kill teams... Will you make a more in depth review of the Compendium?
Once I get playing more games and use some different kill teams I’ll definitely make some more videos on this. Also planning deep dives on the different kill teams looking at all their ploys, stats, etc 👊
This was a great video idea!!!
Shout out to BB! 🥳
That “mortal wound” question was nagging at me; thanks!
Glad the video was helpful 👊

This is the new edition of Kill Team that came out 3 years ago
Would it be possible to film a game where you narrate what you're doing and why at each step?
That’s a great idea. I’m working up to narrative battle reports when my Patreon hits 100 members too
@@tabletopskirmishgames patreon you say
How do u lose experience in narrative
I cannot find the answer to this. I’ve looked through all the books but can’t see it. Maybe it’s there ready for future rules/missions?

more killteam faction deep dive!
🤣 Come back in 5 minutes lol I’m just finishing the upload 👊
