The aircraft crashed in foggy weather in the mountains near the border with Azerbaijan, Iranian state media reported. Iran’s Mehr news agency confirmed the deaths, reporting that all the people on the helicopter were killed in the crash

If someone knew the flight path ahead of the flight, specially of a simple helicopter like Bell 212, it wouldn't be too difficult to wait on the ground below along the path with equipment to interfere with the electronic equipment on board the helicopter. The pilot could be made to think he was flying too high, and so he would descend and adjust....a manoeuvre that would be deadly in a mountainous region with extremely low visibility. Who knows if that's what happened.

there aren't that many helicopter manufacturers in the world, just a handful really. iran has many aircraft including fighters and airliners from before '79. due to western sanctions they have a hard time getting parts to service these old aircraft.

The armed signal is from the arming of the drone rotors (i.e enabling the rotors on the drone), please do not talk about these things unless you actually know what you are talking about

these have pins holding the blades on,there is a bunch of parts mixed in with original parts that were not made with correct hardness,so the pin wobbles into a oblong shape and breaks, causing the blade to come apart

It's always the helicopter crash 👀. The annual/monthly/weekly servicing of the dam helicopter wasn't carried out, the pilots weren't skilled enough to navigate the system, the president couldn't afford to top up the entire helicopter with petrol, some random electrical part just gave up on the helicopter. Bs, bs, bs. This helicopter stuff is accepted by the masses because no one owns a helicopter and don't understand how it works, and so it's never really questioned. If helicopter rides are so dangerous, why are they still prevalent? Wouldn't the Iranian president be most likely to travel in a private jet or some sort?
