- This is my tour around the fabulous Indulce Food Hall on the beautiful NCL Prima
This is new to NCL and I think it’s a wonderful addition and is proving really popular on the inaugural and wouldn’t be surprised if it goes fleet wide

Virgin voyages also has a food hall. It's still basically the same thing as a buffet, only you get served instead of serving yourself.

Looks fabulous! Can't wait to try it in November. Concerned the touchpad says "Paid" at the end of ordering. One day it may not be complimentary. Virgin voyages also has a food hall instead of a huge buffet

Same thing happens at Food Republic even when using the dining package.
Prima has a buffet as well as the food hall.
They purchased a system from a vendor and that is how it operates. It also isn’t fully built-out. The button just said “place my” because “order” couldn’t fit in the space allocated for the button. They could invest in a custom-built application to make it a little more NCL style. That may come in time.

We were supposed to be on this cruise so disappointed but we booked from port Canaveral in April

I’m also excited about NCL bringing Hudson’s menu to the rest of the fleet if all goes well on Prima. The menu is robust and instead of doing 7-14 different menus in good quality they can do one menu in excellent quality. Also happy to see dedicated Indian fare with Tamara and bringing the best of Q to the complimentary dining level.
Another aspect one must to take in consideration is that, on this post pandemic era, ships are, pretty much all of them understaffed. So now, companies need to rethink most of their operational schemes. On newer ships that's easier than on older ships. One just need to make the changes by design. On older ships sometimes one needs some design changes to accomplish the goal. In a not so long time frame I can see mainstream cruising going from the regular buffet+MDR classic format to such a multiple buffet with no or minimal MDR with reduced or single menu in them. For Prima class NCL has chosen the Food hall+buffet+minimal MDR approach. That way they can please most, while reducing even if slightly the personnel numbers so that the experience be consistent.

what are the operating hours? It looks a bit cluttered and not spaced out. but i love the concept and that they bring the food to you, although not outside.

Sailing on the Prima on September 13. Looks like the quality of food had not been upgraded for this new ship. NCL could use some Southern U.S. lady cooks to train them to make excellent desserts which we eat every day. NCL and other cruise lines mostly serve the desserts which are made from thick puddings, for my lack of better descriptions. If one has not experienced better types then NCLs desserts may amaze one.

The staff looked like they were afraid to say they didn't like everything! One Saud Garlic Naan was his favorite! That's not a meal!
