Well yes and no. They both are slavic but Slovenian tends to have a more austrian influences.

This melody doesn't sound particulary Slovenian. This is a more "ancient slavic" style, hut i like it.
Slovenes are ancient Slavs. Karantania first mentioned as a state in 568AD.

They arnt Slavs why does everyone think they are Slavs they are Latin/Italian
WTF. Since when are we Latin. We never have been. What is latin about us. Our culture is mostly Slavic with a lot of German influences and some Italian, still mostly Slavic, language is also Slavic.

I am Italian and I can assure you that Slovenian are proudly Slavs (exept for the Italian minorities in the west). They have some cultural influence derived by us and Austrians but they had the generative strenght to transform this foreign and parcellized cultural heritage in something genuinely theirs and different from us.
Slovenia is a Slavic nation... it has mostly Germanic and some roman/latin influence because of well history...
