This is by far the best guide for newbies to Universal I have ever seen. I have never been there, but have been doing some planning for a possible future trip. I watched alot of videos and none of them were as good as this. Thank you!
You need to go!! Everything is right there on International Drive. If you ever go to Volcano bay..they have a relaxing space you can go to relax plus a couple sit in places to eat. Cabana Bay is right there next to the volcano, with its own separate entrance to the Volcano Bay. We did this. I warn you don't do the water slide roller coaster.. lol. Too many drops for me...big drops too. You have to rode the hulk once. It's intimidating but fun once yiur on. Hagrid was fun too. It looked slow but man! What a ride.
I just came across your channel and I have to tell you, I LOVE YOUR EDITING! I’ve been dying to find a channel that talks about Universal Studios the way DFB talks about Disney and this is absolutely perfect! thank you so much!
I live 30 minutes away and have been through the parks plenty of times. Love these parks and you have done them justice! Still haven't been to Volcano Bay though! Definitely have to check it out soon
My best tips for Universal Orlando: *(SIDE NOTE: This is pretty expensive but worth it!)* Purchase a room at one of the Universal Orlando resorts. (I recommend cabana bay for those who can afford it). Purchasing a room owned by Universal property will allow you to get early access to the parks at least an hour earlier than others who do not stay at one of their hotels. If you’re going to a new ride, make sure to purchase a ticket and a room as soon as possible! Last, make sure to eat and go to the bathroom before entering the park, because the queue for the rides can get massive very quickly. I hope this helped. Let me know if you have questions!
I did this last year and yes, it's worth it. I stayed at Cabana Bay. PS: parents - if your kids are worried about whether they can swim in winter season, all of Universal's hotels have HEATED swimming pools. Just remember to grab a towel from the onsite racks before they jump out of the pool. Orlando gets pretty windy in the winter.

Good thing you stumbled across his video. I've watched five or six different channels and Frugal Brit is definitely one of the best "tour guides" when it comes to explaining Universal Orlando to newbies or people who haven't been there in 20 years (like me!).
Really thorough and entertaining, as always! This has always been one of my favorite places to visit, and we’ve been there probably ten times since our first visit in 1991 (as Southern Californians, we haven’t been able to make it out to the Florida parks as often as we might have liked these last three decades, but, then again, we also have their Californian counterparts, so we get the best of both worlds, I guess). Thanks again, my friend, for this! This brought a big smile when I saw it listed on my UA-cam feed.

The velocicoaster has literally become my favorite coaster ever. The had it open early before it’s grand opening while I was there and I got to ride it 2 different times on different days we were there. Something interesting is there is no express line. Only general and a single riders line. Unfortunately because of this you’ll find parties of 10 in the single rider line, which as an avid user of the single rider line because I am the only one in my family that rides coasters, I am less than thrilled at that. It is a very thrilling experience however, the wait goes by pretty fast and the videos and stuff in the wait line are actually kind of entertaining, but short so they get kind of repetitive as they repeat over and over. As someone who had never been to a water park before, Volcano Bay was amazing!
Last time I went to universal, they were re-tracking hulk and everything, and half of the ride we have now weren’t even open but I’m hopefully going back this summer after I think over 6 years! So I’m excited and this video helped a lot thanks

Lucky. Universal does have seasonal passes for frequent visitors. Also, if you arrive late in the afternoon, you don't have to pay for parking to get into City Walk. I forgot the time cutoff. Best to ask employees at any of the restaurants and shops there.
So happy to see you're back. I literally just thought of this channel yesterday (I have an upcoming trip to Universal) and realized you probably couldn't travel to the US right now due to covid. I am doing exactly what you mentioned in this vid - I have one day at Hard Rock that includes a weekend day for my Express Pass, and then the rest of the week at Dockside. Both will be first time stays for me (I will likely never stay at Hard Rock again - I've never paid that much for a room in my life and I'm normally very cheap when it comes to hotels). Anyway, glad you are back. Great vid! Even as a regular to Universal it was enjoyable to see all the areas and raise the hype-level for the upcoming trip (with full adherence to CDC guidelines, fully vaccinated, and testing before and after trip, of course).
This was so helpful! Planning a cousins’ trip for next January. It has to be an extended weekend trip in order for everyone to go so we definitely want to get the express passes to skip the weekend crowds. Not sure if we should stay in at endless summer and get 2- 2bdr suites and buy the express passes separately or stay in a preferred hotel with express passes included. There are 12 of us so the prices for rooms are adding up quickly we usually have to buy 2 or 3 rooms. Any advice is appreciated!
Hmmm, I suspect that it will come out considerably cheaper to book a value resort and separate express passes, but I’d try quotes for both and see whether or not there’s much difference. If they’re close in price, I’d go with preferred. Hope you have a great trip!
Cabana Bay offers rooms big enough to sleep up 6 people. When walking in, there is a living room with sliding partition. This offers privacy for the people using the hideaway bed in the couch. The main bedroom has two beds and a dresser that has drawers facing both directions so the people sleeping in the living room can use it. Very clever use of space, especially the bathrooms. They are actually in three parts: the sink is in the middle. There is a separate door on the left to the toilet. the right goes to a SECOND mini bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. This layout is best for large groups as one can use the sink to brush her teeth while the other uses the shower and a third uses the toilet. Also, it has a mini fridge, coffee maker and small kitchen. A bus trip to Universal takes less than 5 minutes and then, after clearing security, it's a 3-4 minute stroll through CItyWalk.
I'm going in the middle of June and I am terrified of what the crowds will be like. Especially since there is a good chance velocicoaster will be newly opened by then.
Heh I've never been there, but looks really cool!! (Also despite me never having gone there, me and my family are trying to plan to go for my 16th birthday!! So, I mean... probably got a few years till we might be able to go but it looks super cool!)
This really helped understand USO a lot. I am planning a long Disney trip and have always wanted to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Was able to make a day in my itinerary to go, but have no context of the park whatsoever. Really made it easy to understand.
So, when did you go? Was it just Universal or Islands of Adventure? One thing that might throw a wrench in future trips: Epic Universe is already under construction. It is the BIGGEST theme park expansion in Florida in the last 10 years and will include a THIRD Harry Potter park although nobody knows what world of the HP films it will be from.
We are going in feb 22 for 6 days with 8people(6 adults and 2 kids 8,3) Staying at portofino bay Doing it right with park passes and wondered if there was something I should be focusing on since I am the planner.(hotel w balcony, food plan, etc.) My wife and I have watched your video 3 times already. Cannot wait to treat the family to his memorable vacation☺
Love the Universal Orlando Resort UA-cam review! I have a question and comment for you: Are backpacks allowed now within the three parks? If not, what do you suggest to effectively bring in some items (SPF lotion, hat, H2O, etc.)? Also, I suggest purchasing a lanyard holder for your ticket and a waterproof mobile phone holder for the pics you know you are going to take.
Hi Robert, thanks for that 😁 Yeah backpacks allowed but only medium sized backpacks will fit in the free lockers that you need to use for the fast rides. The larger lockers cost a couple dollars. If you can fit your stuff in a three pronged fanny pack, I’d recommend those 👍 instead of a backpack to avoid lockers. Thanks for the kind words and the tip 😁👍
Thank you for this video. I plan on getting my family tickets to go. This was super informative! Everything else I've come across has not been this good.

Going to Universal tomorrow actually, it's my first time on the East coast and I'm so siked. Great video!
Hope you had an awesome time?
If you're still there, how is it?
@@yourfavoritepot6285 Got back yesterday, it was a blast. The lines were pretty long, but they keep you entertained so it wasn't agonizing lol
That sounds like an awesome trip! Hope you have an amazing time. Things are looking up!!!!
Really professional video, really enjoyed it! 👌
Appreciate that, thanks for watching!
This is a awesome clear video, thanks for making this, it saved us so much time!
You’re very welcome, glad you found it useful 😁
So glad I found this, wow!! Great information!!! I'm going to watch the rest of your videos. .
Thank you Toni 👍😁
Im going by myself for my birthday I've been wanting to go since I was a teenager 😂😂

Excellent content, best presented information about Florida on youtube.
Thank you Sam!!! Really appreciate that 👍😁
This video was amazingly done
Thank you kind sir!
This really helped understand USO a lot. I am planning a long Disney trip and have always wanted to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Was able to make a day in my itinerary to go, but have no context of the park whatsoever. Really made it easy to understand.
Really glad you’ve found it useful 😁👍
It can be daunting for beginners.
This guide was so helpful and well organised. Makes planning our December trip to Universal much easier. Thank you so much :)
Thank you! I’m glad you found it useful. Hope you have an awesome trip!! 😁👍
Thanks for this! I haven’t been at Universal for a while and this helps a lot!!

I hope all of this stays true, I’m headed there for the first time in about a month 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Come back and tell us how it was!
This video is very well done and will be a great reference for a future visit.

We are going in feb 22 for 6 days with 8people(6 adults and 2 kids 8,3)
Staying at portofino bay
Doing it right with park passes and wondered if there was something I should be focusing on since I am the planner.(hotel w balcony, food plan, etc.)
My wife and I have watched your video 3 times already. Cannot wait to treat the family to his memorable vacation☺
Sounds like you have the main things sorted. That’ll be an awesome trip!! O think it’s always worth researching which restaurants you want to visit.
Hi Robert, thanks for that 😁
Yeah backpacks allowed but only medium sized backpacks will fit in the free lockers that you need to use for the fast rides. The larger lockers cost a couple dollars.
If you can fit your stuff in a three pronged fanny pack, I’d recommend those 👍 instead of a backpack to avoid lockers.
Thanks for the kind words and the tip 😁👍
Nice job. One of the best reviews I have seen.
Thank you kind sir 👍😁
Really loved this can you do the SeaWorld Orlando parks next
It’s in the works but may take a while unfortunately. Thanks for watching 👍😁
Truly amazing and helpful video! Such a great overview! Thanks!

...anyways, moving along.
Underwhelming no doubt
Disaster and earthquake were such better rides
@@LentilSoupChilean 1000%
@@LentilSoupChilean the only difference between Earthquake and Disaster was the pre show, the ride itself was exactly the same.
@@FhangMedia thanks for being polite and not aggresive, i just meant that those two were better than supercharged
This is an incredibly informative and accurate video! Amazing!

@The Frugal Brit - Orlando
Your video colors are brilliant!!! So beautiful. Orlando doesn't normally look so appealing to me.
Do you use a filter? Might you have a link for purchase??
Thank you for that! I basically just turned the saturation up to 11 for this video 😂
Definitely overdid it in parts.
12:39 No it’s not, We think that Marvel is 100% Universal’s First Owned Property That’s What. 😎👍🏻
Another great video! It helps deal with the withdrawal symptoms from not being able to go!
Thanks FPL Slug, that’s what I was aiming for with this one 👍
