    Me watching this full well knowing I probably won't get a Rasa 8 cause I wouldn't know where to start or afford to buy one but I support the man himself that runs this channel and love his work

      Thank you so much for those kind words, the RASA has a lot of ongoing costs with them so I hope to make people aware if they wish to budget for one. Also they are a beaut of an imaging astrograph too.

    The sesto senso robotic focuser will also work on the back of the RASA. Have to install a starlight microfocuser first, but works perfectly!

      Thank you for the info, that would be a great focuser to have on your rasa too!

    One more item that I have is the ZWO 30mm Mini guide scope, nice and light and offsets the ZWO EAF nicely.

    Great suggestions Steven! How to use the Baader tilter is a good idea! I really didn't use it that much

      @@StevenMorrisPhotography A video about that tilter is a good idea. I was wondering how you are checking quickly when you arrive at a remote site.

      Most of the time now I shoot from home but I’ll look into something with the tilt in future

    Unrelated: love that wallpaper on the computer 😀

      I think it was the fighting dragons nebula as the wallpaper. It’s recently changed to another image in which the video will be coming out for next week 😉

    Very nice setup! I am thinking to mount my 2 telescopes on my EQ8-R! The RASA8 and the Celestron edge hd8! I am trying to find a suitable side by side saddle to fit the width of my 2 telescopes , can you please suggest to me a brand?

      I use primalucelab plates and saddles. I think you might be able to get away with a 450mm bar or even shorter. The shorter the better, I can’t remember if I used a 350mm bar or 450 when I had the dual rasa setup

    Hi Steve, do the QHY cameras on the twin RASAs operate at a higher temperature due to restricted air flow around them when the dew shields are in place?

    • @StevenMorrisPhotography
      @StevenMorrisPhotography  2 роки тому

      It really depends on the ambient temp. I haven’t had any issues with them running at high temps, I operate the cameras at -10 and I’m usually around 30% power. We will see what they are at during summer temps.
