টাকি, 24 পরগনা (উত্তর) জেলার একটি সীমান্ত শহর এবং কলকাতা থেকে প্রায় 70 কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত। এটি ইছামতি নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত একটি সীমান্ত শহর, যেখানে নদীটি নিজেই ভারত ও বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে একটি সীমানা হিসেবে কাজ করে৷ নদীটির দুর্দান্ত দৃশ্য এবং আন্তর্জাতিক বোর্ডার টাকির সারাংশ ছাড়াও এর ইতিহাসের অংশ রয়েছে, বেশ কয়েকটি প্রাসাদ ভবন
যদিও বেশিরভাগ ভবন ভেঙে পড়ছে কিন্তু টাকি এখনও এর গৌরবময় অতীত নিয়ে গর্ব করে।
ইতিহাসের অংশ ছাড়াও টাকির বাস্তুশাস্ত্রেরও অংশ রয়েছে। সুন্দরবন টাকির বিখ্যাত ম্যানগ্রোভ বনের কাছাকাছি অবস্থিত ম্যানগ্রোভ বনেরও অংশ রয়েছে।
সুতরাং, সংক্ষেপে, টাকি ইতিহাস, স্থাপত্য, প্রকৃতির বিভিন্ন উপাদানের সাথে আশ্চর্যজনক খাবারের সাথে নদী এবং নিকটবর্তী পুকুর থেকে আসা তাজা মাছের একটি আশ্চর্য ভাণ্ডার সমন্বিত করেছে।

Taki, is a border town in 24 Parganas (North) District and is about 70 km from Kolkata. It is a border town on the banks of the River Ichamati, where the river itself serves as a border between India and Bangladesh.Apart from great views of the river and the essence of international boarder Taki also has its share of history, with several palatial buildings.
Although majority of the buildings are falling apart but Taki still boast of it glorious past.
Apart from its share of history Taki also has its share of ecology. Located close to the famous mangrove forest of Sundarban Taki also has its share of mangrove forest.
So, in a nutshell Taki poses several elements of history, architecture, nature along with amazing meals consisting of an amazing assortment of fresh fishes coming from the river and the nearby ponds.
