Tithing is real! I was seriously struggling in my finances two months ago. At that point I was willing to try anything. Within weeks of tithing I got a promotion and my weekly paycheck has almost doubled. I'm so grateful and confident in God now I'm giving more than 10%. Tithing is better than any form of investing.
Present day tithe is a false doctrine that was made mandate by the Roman Catholic Church in 777 AD. In mosaic law the tribe of Levi had a covenant with God that they will not have inheritance - land and the other 11 tribes of Israel will tithe so that the tribe of Levi can be able to support itself. There were 3 types of tithe (1) Poor (2) Levitical (3) Festival. 3rd and 6th year they had the festival tithe. They would go to a certain places and party with everybody. The poor tithe was given to the poor, widows, orphans and the foreigners. The Levitical tithe was a tenth of what was tithed. They would take it to the high priest. Yes tithing is about giving more than just financial resources, however if we will give of our financial resources God is faithful to bless you with more. Which you can in turn help even more people. Of course I give of myself and I sacrifice. And by tithing and sacrificing God also blesses with wisdom. I have continued to give and I see Gods favor in blessings showering down on me and those around me.
Do not put your faith in tithing, but in the lord Jesus christ only, like in the garden the devil is still doing, all kinds of things to keep our eyes of Jesus christ.
God is good, and such a good provider. Once I was on the floor of my tiny studio looking in my old purses trying to collect change. I had MAYBE $2 in coins when I decided to check my card for child support. My daughter was already in her late 20's and my ex NEVER EVER could hold a steady job and would like about his social security number whenever he did get a job. Anyway, I call the bank number on the back and the card and found out I had OVER $8,000! I had to keep calling it because I didn't believe it! Jehovah Jireh..my Provider!
HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can surely say that when i stopped tithing everything declined : my spiritual health, financial health. I love tithing!!!!!! It really keeps me reminded of who is in charge!!!!!!
Tithing is one of the best things I've learned. I believe God taught it to me when I prayed for knowledge. If people, especially young people, would work and tithe, they will have enough and things would gradually improve and they will become prosperous.. If people would trust in God instead of the government, and pay their tithes, they would be blessed. I believe we are to tithe of our GROSS income, before taxes, not after taxes. One of my favorites tithing & giving verses, besides Malachi 3, is Proverbs 3:9.

In the book of Hebrews, which is the New Testament, Jesus is described as Melchezedech, meaning that tithe is still applicable under Grace. I don’t get it, why is it that us Christians we can hand pick blessings from the Old Testament when it seems convenient for us such as “the Lord is my Shepherd” or the blessings stated in deuteronomy, but when it comes to giving to God, something that was heavily practised in the Old Testament, we disregard that?.

My best friends visited me today and told me that their tithing helped them. So I plan to do so too. As a gratitude to the Lord but also a representation of a thank you for providing me for funds.. That's amazing that tithing has been a blessing for you. Also where did you decide to tith at?!?!?!

I'm actually considering keeping a journal of me tithing every month. I do remember stuff like not having enough money and people offering me meals. I also remember people paying for my groceries. I think tithing and being a cheerful giver brings you closer to God because you're being obedient.

Question.... So I paid tithes, and as I did it I prayed over it as I always do when I do it. Only thing is, things were already rough before I did it. My car has been having problems, I have some tickets I have to take care of, I JUST started a new job...etc. but I always remembered, God loves a cheerful giver. I prayed and asked God, "Lord, I don't have much, but I know you'll bless it, and then bless me. In Jesus name, amen. Fast forward to the next day. I felt great. I was obedient to the Word of God. Every time I tithed God worked things out... expect this time. My car tires blew out. On my way home from work. The power steering failed on top of that. And I had to miss work, again. So the question is.... Did I do something wrong? Or is God just working on something big (something that's gonna makeup for me missing work and being stranded for hours and my car being in a parking lot and possibly getting towed)
You confessed yourself that tithing worked for you before . Only you have the answer. Look at where you may have opened the door for the devil . Attacks happen . So was this an attack from the devil ? You alone know .

One of my pastors is always pleading for people to give to Voice Of The Martyrs ministry. He believes him and his family are prosperous and successful because they tithe to it. Every time I give to it our boss gives me n my spouse much easier work or it's already done somehow mysteriously. And there's good posture healing, digestion and metabolism healing when I give to it. But theres so many ministries to give to I don't like sticking to just one ministry.

Question. Im 17 and tithe but I buy a couple things but always set aside the 10% for God and give on Sunday. Is that still considered the first fruits??

Tithing 10% is stealing from God, Jesus Christ said that we must give 100% from you then you can follow him, are you a jew keeping the laws of Moses with the curse that comes with it, gentile did not pay Tithes, Jesus Christ healed, give you all things for life, it was not the Tithing you give. Did you know that, concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God? It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. Here are a few points to consider. (1) There is no scripture where a pastor may ever require or receive tithes, from anyone. (2) There is no scripture where anyone other than a Levite may ever receive tithes. (3) There is no scripture in the bible that requires a Gentile to tithe. -- Who did God appoint to receive tithes? God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (Numbers 18:21-23). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. In that same sense, only a Levite, never a pastor, could ever serve in a Jewish temple. The church has not replaced the Jewish temple, and pastors have not replaced Levites. -- People are blessed when they give, not because of Malachi 3, which is based on the Law of Moses, an Old Testament law that has been replaced by Grace under Christ, at the cross. It is wrong to require people to tithe, contrary to the scriptures, then say that we live according to the scriptures. So many people are still bound by the false teaching that the church should tithe. The doctrine of New Testament tithing started about 1500 years ago, in the Dark Ages, and was enforced by Catholic priests upon the church. People were afraid to resist it because if they did, they would be burnt to the stake. Eventually, this false doctrine was cannonized as church law and passed down through the ages. But an old lie is still a bad lie, even though it now accepted as truth. New Testament tithing is that old lie. The scriptures are clear that we should give in support of ministries. But no scripture has ever required the church, or any gentile to tithe. None. And no scripture has ever authorized any pastor to collect tithes. Levite priests were set aside for this role, by God Himself, and there are no scriptutures in either the New Testament or the Old Testament that have superceded, overruled, or modified this appoingtment by God in any way. Wayne, your post is consistent with my years of study of the tithe issue. However, my experience is as Mark Twain quoted "It is easier to fool someone than it is to convince them they have been fooled." This is my experience with tithers I discuss this matter with. I do tithe, I may be tight fisted at first, but I know like I know He will provide. Currently I am unemployed and I cashed out 2 401k accounts. I divided them up into “paychecks” and just like I always did, when I got paid: tithe first, then bills. Honestly, my biggest problem is I don’t pay myself. That will change once I get a job. God, me, bills. God is amazing just today I got “paid” and tithed first. I had an envelope from my car insurance company and when I opened it -a check for $50!!!! He is SO GOOD!!!! So, I will tithe $5.00 on that and put the other $45.00 towards bills. Like you said, “You have nothing to lose” and He makes it so easy because He even said “test me on this”!!!! When the bible first speaks about tithing it talks about tithing as produce for the Levi Priest. Also look at Leviticus 27: 30-34 where it talks about WHAT THE TITHE IS. It does not say anything about money.

@@christinarrh God is not blessings anything he did ask us to do. Tithing was in place for the Levi priest to eat, they were not allowed to work. They prayed for the sins of the people in Israel. You can find more on tithing, like what it is by looking in Leviticus 27:30-33, the entire chapter gives God's reason for the tithe and what it is. Testimonies of God giving blessings for tithe paying are not true. If it has happened for you, then as Malachi 3 , I know your barn is full and the food you plant in the ground continues to grow. It also says you are suppose to have so much that you don't have room for it. According to the promise. I want you to make it to your millions. Pray to find out what happen to the windows of heaven opening up for you like they were suppose too. By the way have you read Malachi chapter 1 & 2, good reading about tithes, check it out?

Our high priest which is Jesus, Did he teach or collected tithes? His disciples? Jesus was from the tribe of Judah which he couldn't and had no right to collect tithes. Now tell me while you think you should be paying tithes. There's no such thing as a biblical tithe received as money. The first-fruits were heave offerings that only consisted of produce from within Isreal, had to be consumed in the temple, and could fit in a small basket. Again, no money. Blessings in your giving.

You need to read Leviticus 27:30 Numbers 18:20 and Deuteronomy 14:22 tithes is not money we under grace not law

Hi Briana wow this is an awesome testimony. i really enjoyed watching your video. Your video has definitely encouraged me to tithe. I'm actually considering keeping a journal of me tithing every month. I do remember stuff like not having enough money and people offering me meals. I also remember people paying for my groceries. I think tithing and being a cheerful giver brings you closer to God because you're being obedient.

Question.... So I paid tithes, and as I did it I prayed over it as I always do when I do it. Only thing is, things were already rough before I did it. My car has been having problems, I have some tickets I have to take care of, I JUST started a new job...etc. but I always remembered, God loves a cheerful giver. I prayed and asked God, "Lord, I don't have much, but I know you'll bless it, and then bless me. In Jesus name, amen.
Fast forward to the next day. I felt great. I was obedient to the Word of God. Every time I tithed God worked things out... expect this time. My car tires blew out. On my way home from work. The power steering failed on top of that. And I had to miss work, again. So the question is.... Did I do something wrong? Or is God just working on something big (something that's gonna makeup for me missing work and being stranded for hours and my car being in a parking lot and possibly getting towed)
You confessed yourself that tithing worked for you before . Only you have the answer. Look at where you may have opened the door for the devil . Attacks happen . So was this an attack from the devil ? You alone know .

One of my pastors is always pleading for people to give to Voice Of The Martyrs ministry. He believes him and his family are prosperous and successful because they tithe to it. Every time I give to it our boss gives me n my spouse much easier work or it's already done somehow mysteriously. And there's good posture healing, digestion and metabolism healing when I give to it. But theres so many ministries to give to I don't like sticking to just one ministry.

thats my story i pay my tithes before i pay my bills.. it seem like everything has dried up. So, now i have to wait to see what God is going to do. Me hearing you let me know im not the only one. KK Stephens Hi KK! What I always do is when I get my work check I tithe my %10 right away before I pay my bills, living expenses exc... Now sometimes I will have to get gas or whatever before I tithe but that’s ok God Wants our hearts/trust. I hope this helps! God bless !

Tithing 10% is stealing from God, Jesus Christ said that we must give 100% from you then you can follow him, are you a jew keeping the laws of Moses with the curse that comes with it, gentile did not pay Tithes, Jesus Christ healed, give you all things for life, it was not the Tithing you give. Did you know that, concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God? It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. Here are a few points to consider.
(1) There is no scripture where a pastor may ever require or receive tithes, from anyone.
(2) There is no scripture where anyone other than a Levite may ever receive tithes.
(3) There is no scripture in the bible that requires a Gentile to tithe.
-- Who did God appoint to receive tithes? God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (Numbers 18:21-23). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. In that same sense, only a Levite, never a pastor, could ever serve in a Jewish temple. The church has not replaced the Jewish temple, and pastors have not replaced Levites.
-- People are blessed when they give, not because of Malachi 3, which is based on the Law of Moses, an Old Testament law that has been replaced by Grace under Christ, at the cross. They are blessed because Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). It is this principle of giving and receiving at work, when we give and are blessed. Not the expired law of tithing, which was required of the Jews (never Gentiles), and could only be received by Levite priests because they received no inheritance and were set apart to work fully in the Jewish temple.
-- There is much more to this, such as Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek, Jacob's promise to tithe, the history of when and why the New Testament church tithes (there is actually a date!), and the biblical support for all these truths. To be clear, every pastor has a right to collect offerings in support of the ministry; I fully agree with supporting the church financially. But our giving must be godly. It is wrong to require people to tithe, contrary to the scriptures, then say that we live according to the scriptures. It is sad to see so many people caught up in the false teachigs that require them to tithe. Let's hope and pray they will read your post and study this issue for themselves so that they can walk in the truth of God's word rather than the tithe, first fruits and other false prosperity gospel teachings.
@@dctygee3349 I am glad that the information is a blessing to you. God called me to write "Tither You Are Free!" for that very purpose. So many people are still bound by the false teaching that the church should tithe. The doctrine of New Testament tithing started about 1500 years ago, in the Dark Ages, and was enforced by Catholic priests upon the church. People were afraid to resist it because if they did, they would be burnt to the stake. Eventually, this false doctrine was cannonized as church law and passed down through the ages. But an old lie is still a bad lie, even though it now accepted as truth. New Testament tithing is that old lie. The scriptures are clear that we should give in support of ministries. But no scripture has ever required the church, or any gentile to tithe. None. And no scripture has ever authorized any pastor to collect tithes. Levite priests were set aside for this role, by God Himself, and there are no scriptutures in either the New Testament or the Old Testament that have superceded, overruled, or modified this appoingtment by God in any way. Cling to the truth of scriptures, and be blessed!
Wayne, your post is consistent with my years of study of the tithe issue. However, my experience is as Mark Twain quoted "It is easier to fool someone than it is to convince them they have been fooled." This is my experience with tithers I discuss this matter with. Unfortunately, biblical illiteracy is the greatest problem in the body of Christ today. May the grace of God be with you always.

A tithe is 10th not 10%. Present day tithe is a false doctrine that combine tithe, offerings, first fruit etc together. In Mosaic law only the tribe of Levi had the legal right to receive the tithe because they did not have the inheritance - land. The other 11 tribes of Israel had to tithe so that the tribe of Levi can be able to support itself. Tithe was paid in crops, oil, wine and livestock. It was a 7 years cycle. People did not tithe in the 7th year because they let the land stay idle. 3rd and 6th year they had the festival tithe. I do tithe, I may be tight fisted at first, but I know like I know He will provide. Currently I am unemployed and I cashed out 2 401k accounts. I divided them up into “paychecks” and just like I always did, when I got paid: tithe first, then bills. Honestly, my biggest problem is I don’t pay myself. That will change once I get a job. God, me, bills. God is amazing just today I got “paid” and tithed first. I had an envelope from my car insurance company and when I opened it -a check for $50!!!! He is SO GOOD!!!! So, I will tithe $5.00 on that and put the other $45.00 towards bills. Like you said, “You have nothing to lose” and He makes it so easy because He even said “test me on this”!!!! Well….one thing I know God keeps His promises! Thank you and God bless you!

When the bible first speaks about tithing it talks about tithing as produce for the Levi Priest. Also look
at Leviticus 27: 30-34 where it talks about WHAT THE TITHE IS. It does not say anything about money.
They didn't always have money back then. So you tithe what you have (food, animals, garments, ect)

@@christinarrh God is not blessings anything he did ask us to do. Tithing was in place for the Levi priest to eat, they were not allowed to work. They prayed for the sins of the people in Israel. You can find more on tithing, like what it is by looking in Leviticus 27:30-33, the entire chapter gives God's reason for the tithe and what it is. Testimonies of God giving blessings for tithe paying are not true. If it has happened for you, then as Malachi 3 , I know your barn is full and the food you plant in the ground continues to grow. It also says you are suppose to have so much that you don't have room for it. According to the promise. I want you to make it to your millions. Pray to find out what happen to the windows of heaven opening up for you like they were suppose too. By the way have you read Malachi chapter 1 & 2, good reading about tithes, check it out?

Our high priest which is Jesus, Did he teach or collected tithes? His disciples? Jesus was from the tribe of Judah which he couldn't and had no right to collect tithes. Now tell me while you think you should be paying tithes. The collector of tithes will defend tithing to the teeth but I will like for anyone to explain to me deteronomy 14: 22 to end and galatians 3:10 to 13. Are we still under the law? If we are why are we not teaching the other 365 laws of Moses. The Bible says you obey entire law and missed one that you are cursed... I think as a Christian we need to read the Bible to show self approved. I once believed in tithing until I studied and researched tithing for myself and not listen to someone who stand to gain. You asked yourself the What, Who, When, how of tithing. There are many to write about but a true Christian strives for truth. Is tithe 10% according to the Bible? There are 3 types of tithes per Bible, the levitical; festival; and poor, orphan & widow. Which one is the church collecting today? Is tithe collected every week per Bible? Did anyone except farmers pay tithe? Did fisherman pays tithe per Bible? Why did God asked for tithe? Are gentiles required to pay tithe? Many question to ask. If anyone want to continue this conversation we can of course being civil about the topic. I don't condone giving to the church but to lie to people is just simply not of God. The Bible says you should not add or take away from God's word.

There's no such thing as a biblical tithe received as money. The first-fruits were heave offerings that only consisted of produce from within Isreal, had to be consumed in the temple, and could fit in a small basket. Again, no money. Blessings in your giving.
Present day tithe is a scam. They combine tithe, first fruits, offering, gifts etc and call it the tithe. Many people are deceived because they do not read the Bible but go with what the preacher says.
