  • The quiet NP2 is now even quieter as the Benjamin Trail Nitro Piston 2 SBD. The SBD (Silencing Barrel Device) adds an improved barrel shroud that makes the NP2 SBD 3x quieter than other breakbarrels in its class.

    Change the spring in the trigger - got mine down to 1.5 lb pull (original Trail NP2).. .177 cal, 75 yard, 1.5 inch vertical .75 horizontal groups with H&N FTT 8.64 grain (960 fps)... (Works best with sand bag just in front of trigger guard and not forward)... May try a foam pad on top of sand bag to simulate artillery hold and absorb the vertical jump from the recoil... (Scope - UTG 3x9x40, 26 color, adjustable optic, 9 mil-dot w/adjustable zero lock).. Very good bang for the bucks...

      I know that this is a very late reply but would you mind explaining how exactly you replaced the spring for the trigger?

    I adjusted my trigger to about 3 lb 15 oz I could have done it lighter but I lost my first stage after five hundred or so pellets starting to get really good groups definitely get rid of the scope but once you do practice a little bit I'm getting awesome groups with this plenty of squirrels and groundhogs and with 18 or 19 foot pounds more than what I need to get the job done it gets better over time

    I also got a Center Point with my Benj. Trail. Would not hold zeroafter a couple of years, and now is shooting 600 fps in .22.

    Awesome rifle. Crosman basically hand builds these rifles.

    All joking aside - that is a loud War Club - not a precision rifle.
    It needs to be returned to the Benjamin for a refit after they FIRE the original designer! That trigger needs some hydraulic assist coming it at 6 lbs+, not to mention the obvious cramping you'd get shooting more than a few shots. Also - WHO in their right mind sells rifles with only a front sight? Way to much wrong to believe they want to stay in business!

    Hey Tyler,
    I too would like to see Crosman do something with their sproinger trigger assemblies. That is the very reason I do not own any of their air rifles. I personally have been looking at the new Mayhem. I like the styling and have heard good things about the NP2 system, but it has the same cheap trigger assembly. Yes, I can fix it, but if I buy one it will tell Crosman that I approve of what they are doing and not encourage them to improve.
    If other companies can make a great trigger, why can't they? Hatsan has a better trigger than they do. It cannot cost that much more. I guess they are happy being a big box store supplier. If they do not watch out Gamo is going to get it right and leave them in the dust.

    Alot of "IF's" It honstly needs to be powered up for heavier pellets, up to the the 900+fps range with a 18grain pellet.
    I got mine to shoot 14grain at 1100fps which caused the pellet to tumble so I zeroed in on some JSBExact Jumbo 18grain that I lay out 3/4 groups, 75 yards @950fps.
    I can modify the internals of any nitro piston to hit most pellets preferred target speeds.

    American made products has to come to the level of its foreign counterparts to attract and hold the American consumer dollar. I'm tired of buying American and finding the lack of or low quality in peripheral parts. In this case we have a fairly decent air riffle but the scope sucks, the trigger pull is bad and the advertised FPS is lacking. Come on!!! This is fcked up.

    No rear sight?? Why are the mounting holes there?????? Not a very eye pleasing gun!

  • @bruckusmc126
    @bruckusmc126 7 років тому

    I've had the NP2 for over two years and, I've had to mod the trigger to make it a great accurate gun so, why would I purchase another overpriced gun that requires aftermarket work on my part, as well as bundle a poor quality scope for almost $300? When I purchased my NP2, it came with a very nice 3-9×40AO mil dot, which is probably worth more than the gun, and I paid $200 for the total package. Crosman is really looking like an amateur in the industry at best. I'm very disappointed that I've been forced to buy foreign made airguns to ensure that I get a quality product that I'm not required to make into a great gun.
