I love mine. Got one from Meadow Creek in one of their bundle deals. It ended up on my Stevens 301 .410, which took a turkey last year. Very pleased with it... Great review as always!
... I'm 70+ ... those shallow slots for the elevation and windage adjustments are a bitch to find and even more of a bitch to engage with a screwdriver
The only thing I don’t like is the battery screw off top. Sometimes it can be difficult to screw it back on without feeling like u r cross threading the cap
I never had that problem with the ff3. From listening to the folks that have this problem, none of them seem to be seating the battery before they try to screw the cover back on. Press the battery down into place and it’s a none issue. 👍
I have owned many Burris scopes over the past 30 some years,just recently bought a fastfire 2 and love it on my 301 turkey 20 guage,the fastfire 3 does have some additional improvements.It is very hard to beat Burris for twice the money and i would trust them on a hunt of a lifetime
@@ReviewThisThing Yes i believe they do,also i posted wrong above,i have the fastfire 3 on my Stevens 301 not the 2 and I really do like the automatic brightness adjustment setting,no problems with the battery cap either
I don't have one of these but I do have a Burris scope on my Ruger American Rimfire (3-9x40 Droptine Rimfire) and Burris is a ridiculous good product for the price. Same warranty as a Leupold for half the cost or better. Sure, not made in the USA is probably helpful in the cost saving but their being made in the Philippines is better than made in China (CCP) like so many other options.
I've been using my Burris FF3 for USPSA carry optics for 3 years now. Has held zero through some very tough matches and battery life has been great, I've changed the battery, maybe 2 times.
Burris FF3 Update, I patterned my Stevens 301 20G with Apex yesterday and the pattern was amazing with factory choke. I'm very pleased with the Burris and keeping both eyes open, is perfect.
I’ve bought a couple red dots in the last couple years for lever guns. Eyes suck for open sights. Need to try one on the turkey gun, but just don’t turkey hunt enough any more to justify it.
Being in my mid sixties, I’ve come to appreciate the red dot sights. The only problem I have is that I have to go with a green dot option. For some reason, I have trouble seeing the red dot. Thanks for the video and for sharing your experiences. Be well my friends.
The colour green is near the Center of the colour spectrum, so it is the easiest for our eyes to perceive. Also one of the last colours the eye will seen when eyesight is impaired
It’s a good sight but I been running a vortex venom on my turkey gun for 6 years now no issues at all love it I think for the money it has the edge on the Burris
I have both. To me the biggest edge vortex has is that it has around 10 brightness settings vs 3 for the Burris I did have to put a shim to get the vortex sighted in. But I’ve been pleased with both. I recommend the one you get the best deal with
The giveaway has ended. Thanks for watching!
Thx for the link and the video. Can you tell us what the green fiber backup sight on the Burris is?
I have a FF3 n my dot is fuzzy as well.
Sure enough. It’s from Meadow Creek Mounts meadow-creek-mounts.myshopify.com/products/cowitness-backup-sight

Yes! That bundle is awesome! Thank you!

I could see that.
Would you recommend Vortex Venom over this Burris 3?
They’re both great. I prefer the Burris mainly because of the automatic brightness setting. But, the Vortex is pretty awesome.

I read that a lot, but we haven’t had that problem.

Good to know we aren’t the only ones 😁
I’ve had the ff3 and Vortex Venom. I sold the ff3. I much prefer the Venom.
What is it you like better?
@@ReviewThisThing alittile wider and shorter glass. Makes a big difference for me.
@n2trkys18 good deal

We’ve been very happy with them so far.
Thank you…
Thank you for watching!!!
The people saying it looks like bug splatter probably just have astigmatism. I have it and the dots are much more precise when I’m wearing my glasses.
Could be.

Maybe you need to turkey hunt more 😁
What rear fiber optic sight are you running and how is it mounted? Looks like a good back-up plan in case the red dot fails!
I have it mounted on a Co-witness Meadow Creek Mounts mount. It’s awesome!

I’ve heard people say that. Supposedly men can see green better than red - at least I heard that once. 🤣

@Blicky815 well that’s interesting!
Awesome review but what backup sites are those you have mounted on it?
