    I prefer Redken pre treatment to Olaplex as it tackles all the bonds in the hair not just one. Olaplex is ok if your hair is breaking but to keep your hair looking healthy Redken is good. X

    • @freespiritchristina
      @freespiritchristina 3 місяці тому

      @@weemsical6137 I like it, & have used it for a while! Redken is actually owned by L’Oreal, so it’s a pretty decent dupe for the Redken pre-shampoo treatment here. I use it, their shampoo, & conditioner… I switch it up with Olaplex!! BUT, I take the advice of a trichologist and use the pre-shampoo AFTER shampooing, so I’m not just shampooing it right out! Hope that helps!
      Edit: @Abbey Yung recommends it, and has a review of it you might find helpful.

    Olaplex has done literally NOTHING to help my hair. Nothing. And Ive been using it for about 3months now. I'm wondering if he means these videos for younger women. Im sure he prolly does. I'm 53 and I literally have become fat and ugly in a matter of about maybe a year. Hair dry brittle dull , wrinkles, jowls for fka sake yes, I just said I now have jowls. Jawbone deteriorating. Vericose veins. If I had known this is what was gonna happen to me, and that I wouldn't have the means to do some upkeep from a local esthetician, I think I probably would be driven faster, not wore a seat belt and maybe would've taken up some hard drug use. Its really depressing. Sorry to be a downer lol

    I apparently don't have damaged hair, but I accidently got Redken's ABC leave in conditioner. I used it as a prewash (again, accidentally, thinking it was the ABC treatment). Then I washed/dried as usual, and sprayed in the pureology. I felt stupid, BUT letting that leave in conditioner on my wet hair 10 minutes seems to have done something? My ends feel thicker, anyway. -Or my blowout skillz leveled up overnight 😂 Day 2 now, not oily, VERY bouncy and shiny ❤ I'm keeping the leave in ABC conditioner as a prewash "treatment"!

While the L’Oréal bond strengthening concentrate may not be an exact dupe of the Redkdn acidic bonding concentrate, I’ve seen positive reviews of the L’Oréal shampoo, conditioner and BSC, saying it’s just as good as the Redken ABC for a fraction of the price. When I use Olaplex oil it seems to dry it out more! I use only a small amount and apply to the ends but when I do it feels more brittle. I feel like I need hydration not so much of protein?! Any suggestions how to get more hydration?

      I had this too. You need to use a leave in conditioner + your ends might be too damaged and need a trim, I cut off 3 inches of hair and now the olaplex works way better. Also argan oils are amazing for softening dry ends!!

    I followed this guys advise on supposedly best hair treatment. I used the redken intensive treatment because my hair was a bit dry. Then i washed it with redken extreme . Then a drop or 2 of olaplex oil and air dried.
    😮😢OMG i dont know what went wrong but my hair looked horrible!!. Super puffy and frizzy like i put my finger into electric socket. I dont if it was the olaplex oil but it really looked bad. I went to bed so upset and frustrated i couldnt sleep. Thank god i had also bought Ouai to try it out. So I literally got out of bed and rewashed my hair with Ouai. Huge difference. I Spent over 200 dollars between the redken shampoo/ conditioner & intensive treatment/ olaplex oil😠. Taking this crap right back to Ulta. Gonna return and try Rahua a more natural product

      Maybe it was the Redken Extreme. I tried the Redken ABC Intensive and it did a great job on my hair - much better than Olaplex #3. I have very thick hair so I use the Moroccanoil original treatment oil and Moisture Repair shampoo - they both do a great job too. The Olaplex oil doesn't do much for my hair because its so thick and dry.

    I have a question what type of hair routine would you recommend for people like me with short hair ( I have a pixie cut that I try to grow out) like would you say I just need to shampoo my hair or should I just use conditioner and a hair Mask, my hair is quite healthy cause its now just my.virgin hair or should I do like a once a month olapplex or Redken treatment. If you don't have a video about that topic i would really like to see one have a nice day and I love you videos ❤️

      (I know you didn't ask me just giving some advice feel free to ignore) so I would say you want to keep your hair as healthy as possible now even though it's super short and healthy because eventually it will be your ends. If it doesn't need olaplex because it's healthy then save the money for when/if you do at a later stage. Shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, rinse, leave in conditioner, oil is the order I do my hair in and it reaches my lower back.

      @@saskiajaksch9171 well in that case 😅. When it comes to hair oil it's important to know that they don't all behave the same on the hair. For example coconut oil is really high in protein meaning it's an effective protein treatment but overuse will cause your hair to have a protein overload which can cause the hair to snap. So I wouldn't recommend it to be used weekly. I would recommend cold pressed avocado oil, I would recommend placing it in a jar with fresh rosemary and mint for a few days to infuse then transfering it to a dropper ( you can always keep it in the jar if you want but dropper is probably better to help you not use too much). The rosemary and mint is said to he effective in hair growth. There is a significant study on the effectiveness of rosemary oil on hair growth however the study was done using a specific medical grade rosemary oil. Regardless the rosemary and mint give a lovely smell and freshness to the hair. The reason I recommend avocado oil is because it is not mega thick like castor oil so it is easier to apply when first getting used to hair oils. It's also full of healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. Cold pressed is important as it's as unprocessed as possible which helps to preserve the vitamin content. When using hair oils it's important to use a really good shampoo to completely strip the oils and build up. Avocado oil is also a more affordable option than the olaplex because your hair doesn't need it's bonds rebuilt if your hair is in such good condition. Another tip is please read the ingredients list on your haircare, I have seen ethanol on quite a few list's, ethanol is straight alcohol and has no business imo being in any haircare 💖

      @@nidz_ is you're hair damaged? I'd say avocado oil is better as it can be applied to the roots whereas olaplex is good for mids to ends to help prevent them from snapping. So all just depends on the condition of the hair 💖 x

      You can use either and it will help but you should follow up with a really intense deep conditioner and a good leave in conditioner/oil for some slip because neither of these bond builders provide any moisture and it sounds like you're hair needs moisture. Hope this helps! X
