Interview with IUEC Elevator Constructors from TK Elevator, Austin

Recently, the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC)s’ @National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP) visited Austin, Texas to showcase the elevator industry’s most comprehensive education and training program. Austin is home to many industry stakeholders including lawmakers, company and building owners, agencies, and others who work to maintain, improve, and expand the country’s vertical transportation systems.
While at the event, we had a chance to speak with three IUEC elevator constructors who visited the fair to meet the industry experts who develop the NEIEP curriculum. Jarred, Bobby, and Pat, three members of IUEC Local 133 who work for TK Elevator, stopped by to see what’s new and show support for the program that gave them the foundational knowledge they needed to launch safe, successful careers as IUEC elevator constructors. They spoke highly of their training and of the IUEC’s impressive benefits package, and had a lot to share about their experiences working in the trade.
