I am now coming out of 4 years of trauma and disability. Back into life after so much stress is an adjustment and it’s hard to not feel like the rug is going to be pulled out from under me again, that feeling of something is going to go wrong at any minute is fading away but still there here and there. I also have a very busy house and I feel like I’m go go go a lot which is also an adjustment. Just trying to figure out the balance of it all. My healing did give me ample time to “rest” and to learn how to surrender and let things be so I’m trying to incorporate that into my busy life now. Thank you Ali your readings always resonate so well and keep me focused on what really matters most ❤

This is totally me. I have a hard time sitting still. My ex-husband used to make me feel guilty if I wasn't constantly busy. Plus I raised for kids so I'm used to a lot of commotion around me. Now they are older and I'm divorced, but I am still in that habit.

Ooh, I know exactly how you feel. I'm divorced and raise my preschool daughter weekdays while her mother is at work. I'm constantly moving, constantly cleaning and picking up and cooking and trying to keep my daughter from injuring herself when she's bouncing around. There's always this dread in my head that I'll be shamed or accused of being a Bad Father if anything is overlooked or doesn't go perfectly as planned. Indeed, this was a major reason why I got divorced. I simply couldn't take that treatment any longer. But there is that sense that I have to carry my child entirely on my shoulders with zero emotional support, and there is no one to even thank me. My only reward will be a daughter who is a fully functional adult in a harsh world.
There is a bit of a junkie's high in that constant motion, physical and mental. It's draining but you become hooked to it, and silence often leaves you just sitting, "resting" but not really resting.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to complete my next two or three art/photography books. Hah! No relation whatsoever.
