Rock Choir sing White Winter Wonderland at Bromsgrove Christmas Lights Switch On (18/11/23)

On Saturday 18th November 2023 members of the Bromsgrove & Redditch Rock Choirs were invited to perform at the annual Christmas Lights Switch On celebrations in Bromsgrove Town Centre. They were joined by many of their old friends from the Stourbridge & Kidderminster Choirs.
Bromsgrove looked festively fantastic, with lots of market stalls and entertainment for all the family. The Rockies particularly liked being introduced by the Town Crier (I think he should introduce all of our gigs!!), and loved our young bell ringers who helped make the hole thing even more Christmassy.
Whilst we love performing in our home towns, it was also a special day for our Rockies as for many of us it will be our last gig with the fabulous Paola Olivetti as choir leader. Sadly, our wonderful Britalian leader, whose smile lifts our hearts and voices every time we sing, has new challenges ahead of her. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the last few years and are going to miss you SO much next term.
From January the Bromsgrove and Redditch choirs will have a new leader called Chris and a new 'family' with some of the Birmingham choirs. The Stourbridge & Kidderminster Rockies are now lead by Danny McCormack, but we hope that we all get to support our old Rockie family at future gigs.
