When it comes to small age gaps involving minors, I treat it on a case by case basis. Something like 17 and 14 wouldn't be okay in my eyes since no 14 year old is mature enough to be dating a 17 year old (most 14 years olds can't even get jobs or drive, nor are thinking the same way a 17 year old would).
For something like 17 and 20 it depends on the mentalities of both individuals, but I would never call something like this grooming or pedo activity since it's only 3 years which isn't an uncommon age gap at all and is not a big deal the older you get. I reserve serious terms like that for bigger age gaps like 4 or more years apart when it involves minors. I'd say 17 and 20 is an issue if the 20 year old is forcing the minor into stuff, or if sexting is occurring since that's always illegal with people under 18 as a federal law. I haven't finished the video but what I was told by an one of my teachers whilst I was a senior in high school that even if the ages are legal for the 2 people to be together like a 16 or 17 year old and someone 18 or older it would still be illegal over the internet if pictures/videos were exchanged because it would still be considered CP

Very true. On top of that you can’t facilitate a meeting for sexual activity across state lines over text or internet if you both aren’t 18. So for example if you are 19 and you talk with someone who is 17 sexually and you go meet up with them and have sex even if the age of consent is 16 in both of their states, the 19 committed a felony sex crime

People need to learn and understand that in some states, yes consent can be at the age of 16+. BUT if you were to be a 20 year old and do sexual stuff with someone under the age of 18, whether or not it was consensual, IT IS STILL ILLEGAL. It ONLY applies to people doing sexual shit under the age of 18 with other people under the age of 18. Once youre 18 and the other person is under 18, ILLEGAL.
