As someone that does not adhere to RTFM mentality, finding your tutorials made me really happy I didn’t throw my new MacBook out the window. Very well done, just enough info, as the total package of bells and whistles is daunting to me. I’m actually going to go give my first project I’ve spent way too much time on another shot. I’m going into it feeling better thanks to you Jenn. Liked and subscribed!

Thanks for this tutorial Jenn. I've had Pixelmator Pro since it was on sale a while back. Switched to it from Acorn. But haven't really been using it. Have a project now where I'll be preparing client's layered PSD files for use in Final Cut or Motion. Probably won't use most of the features in this tutorial. Really can't alter the colors or style in the file. But selection, and arranging will be necessary.
One piece of feedback. Perhaps useful for others doing this tutorial. Applying the gradient effect to the text layer applies to everything on that layer, including the drop shadow. I did my text slightly different from you with a more dramatic shadow so the loss of shadow was more pronounced. It was actually a good experience because then I had to learn something for myself. The gradient fill can be applied to the text itself. Instead of the text layer. Then the shadow remains unaltered. I learned enough in this tutorial to be able to quickly figure that out. Thanks again!
More Pixelmator Pro with FCP or Motion tutorials would be great. And one where using Pixelmator instead of FCP or Motion for simple animations or video edits.

A lot of nice reviews- mine included. Just for me though I'd like to see your arrow movement more clearly and BIGGER. If you could zoom in closer every time you work the arrow around it would be very helpful to me. I also have to go back several times because I AM to slow. Not you, me. You are doing an excellent job of explaining and manipulating the program. Please keep it up.

Really great video. Thanks. My only criticism would be is that the colors of the bird in the original image the colors popped much much more than the end result version. At 15:35 in the video you can see how much more the original photo of the bird, the colors pop way more. Perhaps that was intentional for the graphic.
