🌸Pujya Swami Chinmayananda Ji🌸
In 1974, Swami Chinmayananda gave an interview to Hubert Jessup for the New Heaven New Earth, a WCVB Television programme. Talking outside a church, in his masterly style Swamiji answers a wide range of questions on God, Realisation, Meditation and Life. According to Him, realising God is essentially rediscovering one's nature. Using the example of a bud transforming into a flower and then to a fruit He indicates the need to transcend the mind and intellect.
H.H. Swami Chinmayananda (Gurudev) is a world renowned authority of the scriptures of India, especially Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. He is the founder of Chinmaya Mission, through which the work that he initiated and was so dear to him, is carried out in the form of spreading the message of Vedanta, overseeing numerous cultural, educational and social service activities. He worked relentlessly for more than 40 years to bring about a spiritual revival in India and abroad. His unique style and logical approach is appealing to all young and old.

My Guru, who is also a brilliant teacher, in skillfully unfolding many Vedanta scriptures, was Swamiji's disciple. He - My Teacher - traveled everywhere that Swamiji went for two years, going around the world two or three times over from 1967 to 1969. My Guru whilst teaching, often say's that Swami Chinmayananda was an unbelievably Brilliant Being, a Really Great Man, who radiated Pure Love, Bliss, and deep peace, even when he was shouting at him for one reason or another. In India, the media were quoted as saying something along these lines about the Great Swami, and I'm paraphrasing: "He's definitely not some 'Peace Loving Saint' but, '' *A Real Tiger* ".

It's a joy watching swamiji. I have seen him once as a 5 yo at my chinmaya mission school. Sadly gurudev passed away when I was 8 and i could never attend his speeches in person 😢

It is a blessing I got to know Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda in this life. The kind of clarity of understanding that he brings in his talks, Gita is one of the best self-help guides for life. No one can do justice to Gita commentary as our beloved Swami Chinmayananda. It is life beyond lifetimes. Making a difference in my life after 25 years he left this world. He really got joy and peace to my life thru the gita commentary in books/videos.

It comes to my mind a picture of one butcher killing young oxen first injuring I his head by hitting with gas cylinder then making him helpless cutting his leg and them cutting his throat bleeding and died.If this but her had fought swami jee teaching seeing life in all and that life same as his own life and thus becoming conscience this butcher would not only stop killing but even eating. There is need of making knowledge and conscious of the fact that life in all same as life in you and aware of their pains.The man can smile in pleasure and weep in pains but animal cannot though they have the same feelings. Let this teaching of swami jee must reach to ignorants as one light moves in every creation.
