As an old fart, former explorer scout and Army vet, I find it funny that people think navigating with a map and compass is challenging!

Brad your channel is awesome, my old man and I can’t get enough of it. We binge watch your channel, we are currently building a Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 just a little not a huge build. We are headed to Portsmouth island North Carolina to camp on the beach in the bed of our truck. We watch all the new and old videos keep living the American dream. My old man 14 years firefighter paramedic. He wants to build a little fire Jeep. COVID-19 has us grounded here in Ohio right now, your videos help us through.

That’s such an awesome idea to ditch the technology. I’m 40 and had to use paper maps when I started driving. I hate to admit I’ve been a slave to the gps over the last decade or so....such a great thing to do.
I think I may use the map & compass only rule one of our future adventures, especially for the kids and younger drivers.

You can clearly see that the roll gauge is important for off-road driving! And it's very beautiful and cool! In Japan where I live, there are few flashy colors, so it's novel!
Well built, rare color, and a s-ton of money in mods....but spent in all the right places. Extremely nice Jeep, Jessie. Lots of attention to detail, and nothing but the best in upgrades.

Not sure why you would start with a Rubicon if you’re just going to ditch all the Rubicon factory hardware anyway. Save a few $ and start with a Sport.
Plus if you keep the tcase do you not have a 4:1 low in a rubi model?
Buying a 4:1 rubi tcase would be cheaper than buying a rubi.
I would definitely agree until I realized this was a "money don't matter" build lol. I think it's totally fair to say this is a $100k+ Jeep.

Once you sell the wheels and tires and axles it nets out not being much more, you get a ton more creature comforts and the t case. So it’s a mild premium but not as much as it seems on face value.

Those paint matched steel fenders are so nice
I used to teach land navigation in the Army and taught orienteering to my daughters girl scout troop, nothing like knowing how to use a good old fashioned map and compass, the batteries never die and they never loose signal!
This walk around and the Iron Man JKU you did some time ago are the best, Brad. Loved how comfortable Jessi is with her outstanding machine!

One of my personal favorite walk-arounds that you've done Brad. I have the same set up with the Rebel Bak Pax she's got there on my 18' JKU and I love it. I wish I knew the best way to wire the license plate though haha. I even reached out to her on IG to ask! Jessie has given me some ideas and goals, thanks for doing these awesome walk-arounds.

Brad and Jessi thank you for the walk around. That is a very serious off road machine. It’s unfortunate that Jeep discontinued mojito green as that’s the color I wanted on my still to be purchased vehicle, perhaps they’ll revive it.
