This is still our favorite song in our house. Wrote awhile back about it being my 5 yr olds fave, now his 16 mo. old little brother will try to sing the "shotgun" part and then if we sing it back to him, he runs to the computer and waits for me to bring it up on youtube! The whole new Risk cd is awesome! HUGE Paul B fans here!!
Paul Brandt is still my all time favorite! My kids still love this song like crazy! My two-year old knows alot of the words and will break out into song any chance he gets!!! Love you Paul from day one...
Man I love this song! It is currently my 5 year-olds favorite too. Can't wait to take him to a concert! I fell in love with Paul Brandt when he first got going back in 1997. Still amazes me. Saw him in concert twice, but need to get tickets for the next concert before it sells out!!! Love the lyrics!!
I love Paul Brandt's singing I have ever since his heart had a history :) Wow I havent heard him in a long time when I found him on here I was so pleased to see he was still singing he is awesome :)
Canada day '08, Paul played in the concert on Parliament hill. While he sang this, they had video of Terry Fox on the screen... it was pretty impressive, and fitting.
He used to more in the past. But his new album is titled "Risk". And I remember seeing an interview with him where he said the album title represented the "risk" in his decision to stay in Canada and maintain his career there, & not become mainstream in the States. Too bad for you guys down there, he truly is amazing.
On guitars, there's a protector thing under the soundhole. This is to protect the wood. Paul has his on top of the hole. Also, where the body joins onto the neck of the guitar there are two "bumps". The one on top is smaller to the one on the bottom. Paul's guitar has the bigger bump on top and the smaller one on the bottom.
In 2007 he went across Canada. Currently he is on a Western Canada tour. (according 2 his website)I wanted 2 go to Winnipeg (closest 2 me) last year, but it was sold out... I have seen him twice, but the last time was maybe 6-7 years ago. Way too long!!!
I love you Nikki!!! You are the most amazing person ever. Just thinking about you makes me more happy and more sad than I ever have been. I really wish we were together.
I remember the first time I heard this song. I thought it was Paul Brandt featuring Brad Mates from Emerson Drive for some reason...they sound really alike, lol.
hey, I dunno if you've got his album yet, but I just checked and it is on itunes, this song is actually called "Didn't Even See The Dust" I hope you had a chance to pick up "Risk" because it is a fantastic album from a fantastic musician.
ok, see how far we get driving straight ahead (they're driving "whatever way the wind blows") The whole point of this song is that life is a road that we can't control where it goes, hence driving on a road. He's on the roof merely because he's telling the story (hence he can see the end cause he's been there).
thats not a protector thing(actually called pick guard) it is the sound hole.this guitar doesnt have a pick guard and the sound hole is above the strings.its a hybrid guitar.the bump (actually called cutaway) is on the bottom for upper fret access.this is a right handed guitar believe me.
the point of this video? it goes with the song very well, if you cant understand that i dont know what to tell you. plus the video is very artistic and very well done, amazing song! its all good.
buddy the guitar Is NOT UPSIDE DOWN.there is no protector thing(called pick guard) that is the sound hole you see. the bump(called cutaways) are for upper fret access. his is on the bottom making it a right handed guitar>!
look closley and see that the sound hole is what you are seeing above the strings.there is no pickguard on this guitar. the cutaway is on the bottom making this a right handed guitar.believe me,i was playing it on thursday.

My faith in canadian singers has been restored. He has saved me from the hell that is Justin Bieber.
This song is on his CD "Risk."
I ordered mine online. I live in the US and am a big fan.

so true
it's like "where's the blizzards?"
Paul Brandt always reminded me a little bit of a country-ish Tom Hanks.
ya, he's gotten to be pretty big in Canada, but hasn't charted any songs in the US for a long time.
My heavens......❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️
this might sound nuts, but this sounds like a bon jovi song, once the drums kick in to me. I'd never have guessed it was Paul Brandt.

Feb 12th, Feb 12th, Feb 12th. I can make it. I can make it.
Maybe try not to read into videos or expect them to follow the song to a t. That would be too contrived...
David St Romains version isn't bad either!!
darian
saw him sing the anthem at a flames game. good singer but the flames suck.
lol flames are horrible only good player was there rookie last year 😂😂
They're pretty much the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever did suck
