  • The height regulation system is not built in, therefore it's currently hard to keep the balance. Also the ruderfoil is not ready yet...

The advantage of a single foil becomes apparent. You don't need perfectly balanced lift each side. Nice work and video thanks. Keep exploring!

Nice work! Really cool to see this getting built.

Thanks For sharing!. Am retired electronics engr. Making a 12.5 foot SUP for paddling, sculling or sailing using extruded one inch polystyrene sheets. The blank was laminated in a simple jig using clamps to form the bow & stearn curves.. It is beautiful. Getting it ready for fiberglassing with UN & BI Rutan glass cloth. (PS i designed 32 bit 1.2GHZ com;outer boards for military stuff like the Global Hawk drone integrated mission management cpmputer (IMMC) Motorola, now NXP has the lowest power integrated host processors. 130 times the MIPS of a 1968 IBM System 360 mainframe. LOL. Get paid what you are worth and vote with your feet. ❤❤

Great Job! All you need is a T-foil for a rudder and you will have a very stable platform to sail!

Hi. Interesting design but you will ultimately need a foil incidence control system. Research Hook foil control to vary the angle of attack of the main foils which could be linked to some trailing flaps on the main foils. Trying to control the incidence angle of the main foils using T foil at the stern does not work successfully. Believe me, I have tried it. You need an incidence control system for the main foils which will respond to their depth of immersion and vertical loading placed upon them. Good luck.

Bravo! Ganz gut gemacht, fehlt noch das heck-foil
, dann wird es ganz ernst. Wann kommt das nächste video mit Heckflügel?

Crikey that water looks cold! ... I'm so glad I never have to put a drysuit on to go sailing here! ... You've got balls of steel (actually, I wouldn't be surprised if that was literally the case if you've ever capsised in there!) haha.

Winter sailing even here in Australia is cold. I can only imagine...

I saw some guys auto-leveling the boat by having a second set of rudders about ten centimeters above the main one and if they went above the water, the "flaps" would go down..

You can use a magic wand, which is used on many sailing dinghys

You have to be an acrobat to ride this boat. First the point of towing is high and so the tension would give a nose down effect while as there is not horizontal stabiliser neither at the back ( tail dragger) nor the front (cunard)the occupier needs to keep the balance though moving forward and backward using his human sensors to keep stability. A small horizontal stabiliser would have done the job to produce a good hydrofoil.

I know... I planned to build one, but I made som construction-mistakes. Next weekend I will make a second testrun with the height-regualtion-system built in and the ruderfoil from Glide Free Design.
