His offensive efficiency is off the charts! His per game stats for the year aren't crazy but he's been playing more minutes lately and he's getting more confident a little more selfish (which is a good thing) and his stats lately have been crazy good. And he can give a team anything that they need at a given moment. He can be a distributer, he can be a shooter, he's very athletic, and he has amazing court awareness.
Perfectly summed up! I think with the extra spacing that the NBA allows as well, he’s only gonna thrive more! Not to mention he’s a willing defender and a great one at that!
The nba rule changes have helped Austin, grayson, and donte become productive players. Reed is a more complete player than those guys so he has a chance to be a very good nba player.
I totally agree! He’s a much better player than all 3 guys at the same age and on the same timeline!
Yes he is but I think he should stay one more year. Lateral quickness on deffense is needed in the NBA and that's his biggest weakness. Probably his only weakness.
Reed Sheppard is a point guard in the NBA. His Ceiling is probably Steve Nash which is not too bad
Yeah I think if he can reach that level that’s a win, he’s gonna have a very long career nonetheless! 💯
He will be even better later in the years to come
Yeah sky’s the limit! He’s got plenty of upside 💯
no buddy is like him he's in a class all his own
A very unique player! That shooting ability, basketball iq, deceptive athleticism and defensive ability! He’s gonna be a fantastic nba player!
never seen anybody spell nobody like “no buddy” 🤣🤣🤣
I think he should stay one more year. Lateral quickness on deffense is needed in the NBA and that's his biggest weakness. Probably his only weakness. Still, if hes projected as a top 5 or 10 pick. You go boy!
I think his tenacity and willingness to hunt passing lanes and be a willing defender full stop will help him progress on that side of the ball. His basketball iq is off the charts, so I think he will still be a great player!
Reminds me of Divincenzo and austin reaves with a better shot, but I think he could be a legit star in the league! Comes from good pedigree as well 💯
100%! Knows how to play the game
Idk if it’s just me but I’m getting devin Booker vibes
@@toddsharp2898 I can definitely see that for sure, a shorter d book, same shooting ability and deceptively athletic, played a similar role as book at Kentucky!
I like that comparison!
@@toddsharp2898 You're not alone.
Best player in this class book it
Could be on the Devin Booker trajectory, let’s wait and see!
That guy!
Him!
Top 5 lock! He’s a stud!
Yessir !!
He comes off the bench...... that's crazy
Same impact as Devin Booker and Tyler Herro when they were both at Kentucky!
He could be the next Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
🤣
Jokic and Luka have shown that you do not need top level atheism to become an elite scorer and contributer on offense. You do need the ability to score from anywhere on the floor and Reed has that in spades. The atheism argument gets to much attention, especially with today's NBA. Reed can make a living at the free-throw line. Plus, Reed is more athletic than he gets credit for. He blocks shots out on the 3 point line. You don't see too many guys that are 3 inches taller blocking shots out that far.
Couldn’t agree more! With the way the NBA game is played, the skill set he possesses and the extra spacing at the next level, he will thrive!
Facts Iq and knowing how to use your body is really key
Would love to see him as pg for the Nuggets
Would be a good fit on the roster, especially because he’s a selfless kind of player, but I don’t think he’s sliding that far!
Mark Price / JJ reddick comp
More defensive upside but I like it
I get the feeling that the Spurs are gonna try to go after Sheppard which I’m not crazy about. I’d prefer them to go after Nikola Or Matas.
I think the potential with the other 2 based off their physical makeup and skill set could benefit the spurs in the long run.
But with the history of the Spurs developing players and with the kind of player sheppard is, he’d fit the culture of the Spurs perfectly and I think he will be a fantastic NBA player !
Okay, look up his stats, then compare that to dalton knect. That is why some now have him number 1 overall pick to spurs.
Dalton Knecht is a senior in his 4th year of college. Sheppard is a freshman who is still 19 years of age! The upside is what teams look at and with Kentucky’s history of producing elite guards at the next level, it’s a safe bet to put money on him being a great player at the next level!
I do like Knecht though !
@benchmob_yt I'm not knocking knect in any way. Was just saying if I'm drafting I take Sheppard over knect
And I liked and subbed
@@devildoc4257appreciate it!! I misinterpreted your comment in the first instance, I thought you were talking about Knecht being a better player !
Reed Shepard is not ready for the NBA no no no
SPURS
Would be a great fit !
This had to be made before he went 7/10 from 3 on his way to dropping 27 against #5 Tennessee . Knect or what his name is dropped 40 but he is nowhere near the complete player Sheppard is.
I literally made this a few games before the Tennessee game! After the Mississippi state game !
Who would ever have guessed that it was in his bloodline are wasn’t the coaches kid
Don’t get me wrong I know nothing about this player
And since he is white and his chances for any success in professional sports has almost 0 chances
It’s great to see him succeed,I just have a tendency to check who ,where and why .
Amazing
Regardless of that, he’s still gotta perform and show he’s an NBA talent and he’s done just that!
He going come back to kentucky next year to play with his friend perry !! 💪😺💙🤍🏀🔥 Lets go cats ...BBN ... Reed..#..1 😊
I mean if his draft stock wasn’t top 5 range or even the lottery, I’d say he should come back! But he’s gotta strike while the iron is hot and you don’t know what could happen in a season! Could ruin his top 5 draft stock! 💯
Ok how about this, Malik Monk will be a free agent after the playoffs. The kings can't match what he will be offered so, they will try to back fill with someone they can afford. Picture this, the spurs select Shepard and trade him to the kings for Monk. Hmmm
That’s actually a very reasonable scenario! Kings get a young piece who can shoot and defend and spurs get monk, a player with experience !
@@benchmob_yt imagine Monk and wemby in the pick and roll. Sheppard will learn very fast under D Fox.
