Kid had major red flags from the start. Even before the draft. Celtics were high on him but he wanted to play in Phoenix. Dodged a huge bullet with that one.

The Celtics had the top pick that year. I remember everyone wanted them to draft Fultz but they traded back to 3. Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens were also very interested in Josh Jackson but he stood them up when they flew out west to meet them for a workout. After that happened, there was absolutely no way the Celtics were drafting him. I’m so glad they took Tatum.

If you bring up Yao Ming, why don’t you bring up Jeremy Lin. You should do your research on Yao Ming. He wasn’t even legally allowed to play in the NBA because of his contract with the CBA. The Chinese government even said they wouldn’t let him play in the NBA unless he was drafted by the Rockets and had to play for the national team as a priority over NBA. Steve Francis, the Rockets gave up on him too. He was traded for TMac.

I think he should stay one more year. Lateral quickness on deffense is needed in the NBA and that's his biggest weakness. Probably his only weakness. Still, if hes projected as a top 5 or 10 pick. You go boy!

Jokic and Luka have shown that you do not need top level atheism to become an elite scorer and contributer on offense. You do need the ability to score from anywhere on the floor and Reed has that in spades. The atheism argument gets to much attention, especially with today's NBA. Reed can make a living at the free-throw line. Plus, Reed is more athletic than he gets credit for. He blocks shots out on the 3 point line. You don't see too many guys that are 3 inches taller blocking shots out that far.

He will be even better later in the years to come

His offensive efficiency is off the charts! His per game stats for the year aren't crazy but he's been playing more minutes lately and he's getting more confident a little more selfish (which is a good thing) and his stats lately have been crazy good. And he can give a team anything that they need at a given moment. He can be a distributer, he can be a shooter, he's very athletic, and he has amazing court awareness.

Reed Sheppard is a point guard in the NBA. His Ceiling is probably Steve Nash which is not too bad

The nba rule changes have helped Austin, grayson, and donte become productive players. Reed is a more complete player than those guys so he has a chance to be a very good nba player.

Steve Francis would have been 10x more marketable in Memphis than Vancouver. If that option presented itself with Steve on the roster, I honestly think it adds fuel to the fire to move. He would encourage it, and Memphis fans would embrace his mentality. That’s not to say Canada doesn’t need a 2nd basketball team tho. They do in baseball too!

Francis is the poster child for talented athlete without a speck of leadership in him. I am a basketball fan, and he turned me off from the game for a while.
