Great video, thanks! Got one to do myself and never done it before so this has given me the confidence to do my own. Parts on order so will be tackling soon. Cheers, Jim from the UK.
Excellent job on replacing the window. I'm glad the tip worked, I just didn't think you would need it so soon. That storm was a dud when it went past S.C. Always a thumbs up 👍
Acetone or nail polish remover removes a lot more than glass cleaner and use a dollar store razor blade scraper. It's for tinted windows and sticker removal.
I am one of your subscribers and this is the one episode that I skipped. As I was driving home to Sacramento from southern California tonight an object popped up on the freeway and shattered my rear window on my RAM Promaster-based RV. The damage looks exactly like yours. II can't thank you enough for posting this video and I promise never to skip a Mathers On The Map episode again!
Great video as always! Quick question: did you also scruff up the window before putting primer on it like in the first video? If so, do you really think it increases adhesion or should the primer alone be enough for the window to bond to the van’s surface; which also has primer on it?
Thanks so much for this! Our camper was broken in to this weekend and we need to replace the side bonded window so this is super helpful!
oh my I'm sorry to hear that, I hope everything wasn't taken and you got it replaced.
@@MathersOnTheMap get them window gates and a doorbell camera.

Haha all good Vince! I’m sorry to hear about your window. This job isn’t fun but figured it’s helpful, good luck!
Do some of these vans have anti-frost heating elements in the glass? If so, do you have any tips for hooking that up again?
Would lexel silicone work for a sealant?

Thanks Perry! Nope the scuff is for the primer which is already there for the replacement 👌🏻

🤔Has anyone replaced one of the rear windows on GMC Savana/CHEVY Expro cargo van? Any links would be appreciated to a “how to“ video etc.
Hi why do you think it broke? Pressure in the car ?
Hey Christian I believe it was from the tropical storm and debris flew into it
Glass isn't zero deductible?
Wow, I just saw the video to put those in the other day. Sorry that happened.
All good could have been a lot worst!
