The action fleet one was among the first Episode I toys on the market. Sneak preview line prior to the film's release. I remember coming home from school one day and finding it on my bed. I was ecstatic. It truly was an amazing time to be a Star Wars fan.
Thanks for the review Kevin. When I unpacked mine, and fiddled with it…got to one of the engine landing gear couldn’t be extended. Next day took to the work shop and took a straight blade on each side to make sure no paint or obstruction was keeping from retracting. Finally after some lite force (pun intended!) and wiggling, with a straight screw driver on the treads of landing gear, it pulled out. So any other collectors have this issue , make sure you carefully work the landing gear without breaking or damaging the surface of your N-1!
Great review Kevin, I love the feature that allows R2 to enter and exit the N-1. Definitely beats the AF version in that regard. I wonder if we might see a retooled Mando N-1 with R5 and maybe Pelli Motto.
I'd have bought one if they did the cockpit hatch correctly... It slides, not hinges. If I want a "open cockpit hatch" diorama, I can't without destroying something. C'mon Jazwares....you could have fixed this after the Madoboo Fighter.
Such a great, fun ship. Just got one and aim to get another soon. Definitely an improvement on the Mandalorian fighter in that the astromech port is usable. I actually like the bright yellow paint scheme better, which I wasn’t expecting.
An excellent ship and a very good review Kevin, By the way, the right engine has a little tab with which you can open the engine and see a molding of what the inside of the engine would look like. This feature is mentioned on the back of the box. I just uploaded a short in my channel and in the facebook group showing it. Greetings!
Really sleek Starfighter, one of my favourite ships from Episode I but the sliding cockpit makes it for me and so I still prefer the Action Fleet version. However the compartment that opens to allow R2-D2 to get in the ship is a really cool feature Jazwares put in for the Micro Galaxy Squadron N1 and the tail is better as well.
Oh one more thing…do you think if somebody wanted an R5-D4 in the Mando’s N-1, they could swap the under body with the Naboo fighter? I’m probably sure Grogu will have be carved out and trimmed so as an astromech could fit in his place. Any thoughts?
I did an interview with the brand manager a while back and he mentioned something about an R5 so I wouldn’t be surprised if we got another version of it.
Hey Kevin the right panel on the engine comes off and shows the engine which is actually pretty cool
Omg! I totally forgot that. Thanks for that.
The only thing I dislike about this is that the r2 unit head doesn't rotate so that it can actually look forward while installed into the ship
It would be really cool if we could get something like that in the future!

Oh wow! I didn’t know that. Very cool.

Yea some of the landing gear is tight.

Yea they did a great job with this one!
Nice video, the N1 has always been my favourite ship in Star Wars... shoutout to Doug Chiang!
The Y-wing is undersized in scale relative to the N-1, while the N-1's looks appropriate when factoring in the size of the figure

Thanks! I know. I can’t believe I missed that. I may just go back in and add that to the review.
Thanks for the comment!
@@kmtanner04 Or you could also add that on a short! 😀
Greetings and a pleasure to greet you! 🫂✨

i love this ship bro. just did a review on my channel too.

Artoo perpetually looking to either side is approaching "deal-breaker" territory.
That's the ship that Anakin accidentally borrowed it
THEY HAVE THE NORMAL N1 NOW????
Edit: Target exclusive? Piss off.
4:40- that was the dealbreaker for me… N-1’s have a sliding cockpit that moves forward. Had it had that feature, would have been an auto buy.
So you’re the one who’s been hogging the Action Fleet E Wings and Tie Defenders!
@@lingoistj1956 haha! Yep, year of collecting those bad boys. I wanted to get a full flight of 12 but not sure that will happen.
@@kmtanner04 save some for the rest of us!
@@lingoistj1956 haha. There are still lots out there and most of those defenders are 3D printed.
@@kmtanner04 off brand! No!!!!!
