I was listening to Tame Impala on shuffle just all of their songs ya know? I didn’t even look at the song title or album, I was just relaxing loving every second of this. I guarantee you see this song differently when you don’t expect too much from it. You knowing this is a collaboration and clicking the video to hear, you’re already in a judge like mindset which clouds raw feeling.
This song came up on my Apple Music new music list on Friday while I was smoking a blunt on my way home. It was around 7pm when the sun starts going down and u get this nice view of a day and night type of sky. It was just 👌🏽. Felt like a dream with this music playing . Best vibe ever .

I never liked this song until I saw him play it live in Toronto. I was still getting over a breakup with my 7 year girlfriend. I loved her so much but we weren’t good for each other anymore - drifting in different directions and I had to end it. I took MDMA for the first time at this concert and blew off a bunch of steam dancing. Just an emotional escape. Towards the end, this song came on and the hook really resonated with me suddenly. It was like I was telling my ex to let me go so I could just live again and I felt peace.
