not sure if that is a convincing reason, I´ve got a Mild Hybrid Kia Rio, with regenerative brakes, and it is equipped with disk type brakes on the rear wheels
I almost bought 2 sets of brake discs for my vw polo. I realised that there wasn't a caliper on the rear brakes and got confused. I have no idea how to change drum brakes 😑
I thought discs have better stopping power, are easier to fit when pads need replacing? How come not all electric cars have them, probably because VW thought they cost less.Be interesting to know what the difference is between disc and drum brakes to fit at factory?
Disk brakes are the best breaking system and I didn't know that they still make drum brakes; why go back to something inferior? And mixing disk brakes with drum brakes on a vehicle is pathetic!
Very useful ! Thanks. I think drum brakes are just fine for rear !

Nice 👍 one infact but I would like make another video explaining how you can dismantle and assemble the drum brakes and disc brakes
Good idea 👍
Thx but not sure if that's the only reason.
Could it be a nice cost saving feature from the VW Group?
Yes Oliver for sure 👍
Do discs on disc brakes need to be balanced by removing some of the metal?
No Dana 👍

Could you, sir tell if we can use hand brake and service brake at the same time?
Not really … why would you do that …in case of emergency you do it but otherwise use normal brakes
disk brakes are dangerous when you don't know about them..
Yes 👍
Outstanding! !! Thank you sir!!!

Can you please expend about regenerate electric brake system ?
Adi I will make a video about this as soon as I can. It use the motors to slow the car down and in the same time send some energy back to 🔋 battery
@@SDADanCarsthe engine turn backwards, makes the wheels slower and regenerate engery to the battery like dynamo.

some Asian countries prefer the rear disk brakes than drum brakes because of braking power.
Yes 👍 Thanks for feedback

Low price, but with decent performance. But I agree that maintenance of two different types are hard.
Drum brakes should be illegal
