Tulare is my hometown. I don’t live there anymore. I’m up in Washington by the Canadian border, but you pronounce it with the E at the end. Love your videos, man keep it up !

Really fun video; Thanks Josh. I loved the history of the regimental band headquarters - I was a member of a US military band, myself, when I was bitten by the Ham bug!

Yesterday, I received my new Anytone AT 6666 and 30 amp power supply. I also recently bought the Sirio top hat Astroplane. I really like the way Sirio re- engineered the Astroplane. It all seems to be working very well so far, I can't wait to get the antenna up on the empty tri pod on my roof. Right now I have it on my deck with (2) 5' poles. my first contact was with Jamaica. and that was very awesome! it has been many years since I had a radio rig. So I am very excited about this new radio. SO far I highly recommend it 73s

This is a good demonstration of why EV's are tailored to certain areas. Where I live, it would take better than an hour just to get to an interstate.

A good 95% of lower 48 landmass and at least 99% of people live in areas that are highly EV accessible
East of the Mississippi you are basically never more than about 40 or 50 miles by road from a fast charger except in parts of Maine (hard to tell if there are even roads in that part - a lot of wilderness designation) and a small part of the Adirondacks. Usually in the East you are never more than 20 miles from a charger.
West of the Mississippi there are some sparsely populated parts of NV, WY, MT, ND, SD and ID where I don't see anything

Funny, my mom's family is from the SJV (dairy farmers), and all went to college in Fresno. I spent several years trekking between Fresno and Ventura and never stopped at Ft. Tejon. This was really cool.

Agreed..... SOG is more interested in puttting their logo on the item in 15 places than they are in making a good product. I have the Bluto. It's a nice little EDC with hair poppin sharp Japanese VG10. It's a nice knife sans the logos.... I've had two other products of theirs that didn't last. I'll have to look into that multitool.

While the POTA looks like a lot of fun, I wouldn't be able to handle the static. Our club here is GMRS and CB currently and I can't deal with trying to use the CB for long, just too much noise. 73's and enjoy your weekend with the boy.

For future reference the 14N to 58W into Bakersfield is the best detour. If you’re that far in the 138E will also take you to the 14. It will add 30-45 minutes to your trip. I would take that over the 101. The 101 is a beautiful drive but it will add hours. I drive Tejon pass every night on 18wheels. Stay safe!

I avoid flying into LAX for business if I can. The 405 is insane no matter the time of day. I had to visit China Lake, and I decided it was worth it to drive the extra hour or 90 minutes by flying into Vegas.
