Man that is a beautiful unit. Two toroidal transformers that is awesome! Love that rear panel layout, and all of that connectivity. You are a natural at this review stuff man. I moved my Parasound Halo P3, and one of my A23’s into my TV room and setup a two channel system. Just love the acoustics in that room. I have been looking at the DALI Spektor 2’s. I think that they might be a good match for the gear and the room.

I have a W series Moon power amp. Simaudio really does make great stuff.

I own it paired with B&W 804 D3 as I have not too big room. Amazing amplifier. I had all line of Moon's amplifiers. The difference between this and 600's is great. Scene is much wider, resolution is much better. In the rest sound is very fair. Highly recommended. But better to buy whole line of Moon in this case. DAC, Phono amp use to be together. With 700's even not "high quality" tracks play great. For example pretty old "Kiss" tracks. Also take care of the connections. I used Nordost Red Dawn and now changed to Frey. Difference is. But not such great like between 600IV2 and 700Iv2. Main input comes from the amplifier itself. One more thing. Volume regulator is amazing. Especially if you run turntable. You can run it to "0" just with light fast movement. Compare to Griphon for example it is very convenient... 10 years warranty also is good. Do not believe will use it so long. Really intrigued by the Simaudio stuff. Unfortunately, I have so far not had a chance to hear any of their stuff, as they don't seem to be as common over here in Europe, but I will definitely have to find a place to experience their stuff at some point.
Sweet Jesus. You will definitely hear and feel every drum hit on Sopras with seperation. Every now and then I'll go back to my Metal days and Grunge days and stream ( Metallica, Ironmaiden, Megadeath, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice .....and never am I disappointed. Great speakers and excellent clean power brings you to the Moon. Lol And this music was just recorded for the masses. Listen to Van Halen The Collection and enjoy the detail of Eddie's Guitar and Alex's drums. You can even hone in on the bass. Thanks for bringing this to light in your review with Moon and Hegel driving any great speaker, new or old. Watch Boiler Room, it's a great movie for anyone in the Market🍿
Looks like a very nice amplifier. However, lots of stiff competition around that price range. The new McIntosh MA12000, Gryphon Diablo 300, Pass Labs INT-250, T+A PA 2500R, Constellation Inspiration 1.0, Boulder 866, Jeff Rowland Continuum S2, Luxman, Accuphase and many more. Tough choices but definitely fun! All of them are great in their own way.
The Continuum s2 is by far NOT worth that amnount of money.. big dissapointment for the price. :)

@@Horghidan Disagree. McIntosh products last for decades. The MA1200 is a 50Kg beast. The sound quality is stellar.
Wait. No xls inputs ? Are they serious ? I don’t want to downgrade my connections to unbalanced especially for my turntable and cd player.
I have the Rotel Michi X5 also dual mono inside with more power for far less money. It is very neutral. Then again i wonder how it would compare. Before the Michi i had my mind set on Gryphon amplifier. But i heard the different models of Gryphon amplifiers have a different sound wich confuse me that they are not consistent in having a household sound.
Are you able to demo some of Bryson amps? The 20 years warranty is very attractive to me.
What do you think about pairing this with dual concentric like Tannoys or Fyne Audio ?
Dont see why not. Will probably make them sound a little more on the analytical and tight side
The dCS remote is the best remote in hifi imo.
I love the knob for the volume control on that remote, but $625 for just a remote and it's not included 🥲
Idk, I'd definitely have to listen to it, but at 14k vs a preowned Hegel integrated H360 which is far less, then the Hegel seems like a value. Did you get a phantom center image on the Sopras from it? Any gear in the $10k budget that comes closer to the Moon's ability to maintain separation and detail? I'm curious to know if this comes from its true dual mono design. I've been pondering a Luxman 590 or 509. Very smooth, detailed, and warm. I've been able to obtain a magnificent center image. The Moon Definitely looks like a possibility. 👍
The moon is going to be a lot different over luxman. I personally find Luxman too laid back for my taste. The Hegel H20 is an absolute steal imo. Theyre in their 11th year of production which means they come up used fairly often. I got mine at a fraction of retail like new.
Great Video. Question, which Sonus Fabers did you listen to with Simaudio? Was looking at the 600i v2 or 700i v2 with Olympica Nova IIIs i thought they would pair well, happy to hear you like the combo if you can elaborate a bit more would be much appreciated, thanks very much!
Ive listened to quite a few from the Olympica series all the way to Liliums on Simaudio and never disappointed. I heard the original Olympicas on a 330A which was great, so a Nova with a 600 or 700i would likely be stupendous

@@andyrocha yes and no. I've heard the Maximas on a Sim 700i and that was great. I cant say Ive done a hardcore comparison of the seperates vs the integrateds. The time I head the Liliums was with a 740P and 860A which was amazing but also should be for the prices.
