During my "winter season" I watched this lyric video over and over and over again. I didn't understand why I was going through what I was going through but I KNEW that God was up to something. This song helped me never lose hope and faith that God was working. This song got me through. ESPECIALLY the bridge. I distinctly remember watching this during the hard season. Literally on repeat. looking back now I cant help but feel emotional whenever I listen to or watch this song because I see how God used that season in my life for good. He took one of my biggest pieces of brokenness and turned it into GOOD and PURPOSE. Thank you Hillsong for this song. you have no idea of the special place in my heart this song holds. it is such a major part of my testimony, and it is SO true- for His promise IS loyal... all the way from seed to sequoia.

Hillsong threw quite the poetic twist on this one, “If you’re not done working, God I’m not done waiting”... I just imagine God doin what He does and right in the middle of it “God WHY?! *insert newest chapter of lamentations*... what a thought, to simply LET HIM WORK, “you can see my promise even in the winter, cause you’re the God of greatness”....
Also: “you could have saved us in a second, instead you sent a child”. God is this amazing artist and architect. I can’t believe how many today refuse to recognize HIS WORK! Like “oh it’s just there”. WHAT?! No! Every single thing, from every Jewish holiday and tradition and miracle in the Old Testament, to the cells in your body (look up laminin), to the beauty in nature. It all points to Jesus! It’s intentionally and wonderfully designed, just like you.
Well this was supposed to be a quick “wow I Love the poetry in this song!”...
Guys idk any of you.. with that said, I don’t want any of you going through the “Winter” to forget that God isn’t done WORKING, so don’t you give up on WAITING! Praise Him, even when it hurts (Hey that’s a good song too). No season is worth more than the spring He brings.
Lastly in this late night rant/exhortation (its like 3 rn), speak. Don’t just sit on the sidelines. The next time you’re in your class, at your job, or with friends or family and someone misses God’s great design, His wonder, and His WORK.... do one thing:
Catch it for them, then share it. Let it grow and flourish. Be someone who facilitates His work to be spread to others. Represent it! I mean, YOU are indeed His finest WORK.
Alright guys, it’s time for sleep hah... Remember, He sees, He knows, He is with you, He can, He loves you, more than anyone could, does, and can.

Pedro Oliveira I had to look up what a sequoia plant was, and when I saw the massive tree standing tall and strong I knew that it had strong deep roots and that it probably took 30+ years to become like that. So Father God is working to deepen our roots in Him, so that we will produce a rich harvest. I hope to have more joy while I wait on God for my harvest season. Stay blessed

I heard this for the first time only yesterday, but I sat there unable to even try singing along because I was so overcome with peace and reassurance. I could only stand there and listen as tears poured down my face. Thank you for such a beautiful song that captures the heartache found in these seasons, but even more so, that captures the hope we have in Christ in these seasons. I needed this so badly for this moment of my life and I can't stop listening.

"Instead he sent a child" I really love that line. Now ik what it means by the love of Jesus being redeeming. I couldn't find a reason to love myself on my own; so imagining the moment He was carrying the cross and thinking of His people. He KNEW me. Way before I was even created. He chose to love ME without hesitation. Through the moment of sacrifice," she'll know that I love her unconditionally". There was no other way. Its beyond amazing coming to peace with that.. This season is kinda hard for me as I know it is for everyone else. I knew that I needed Christ. But for the first time, I really WANT him with me. I just want Jesus present and I want to know Him.

This worship song, as well as Oceans, helps me calm down, to not fret of the future, for God has a future for me. He will never abandon me, even if I fail Him so many times. Even if at times I lose my faith, He is there, He is working. I just have to wait. Truly, God is good!

This song is so beautiful. I remember when I was going through some grief and heartache. I would even offer and ask God why am I going through this. We all go through grief and heartache. But God’s glory will be seen on the other side of that. Whether it’s now or in the future. Sometimes we will never know why, but know that he is God and he is always good whether it seems like it or not, God is always good. And for what the devil makes for our harm God turns it into our garden. Keep on trusting in him. Go forward for Christ walks with you. God bless.

I remember the story of Elijah praying for the rain, they fail not just once but many times but they never stop praying and hoping for God to fulfil the prayer.
Please pray for the 'xenophobic' attacks happening in South Africa. 11 people have already died, the 11nth dying a gruesome, unmentionable death. Men of God say it is only going to get worse if believers don't take a stand. They say it is going to turn into a civil war if we don't pray. Please.
