    I know people keep saying how la mer is pricey but you also got to see how you need the tiniest and a whole jar will last you a really really long time. I only have the moisturizer but i absolutely love it and will try the other products too.

    I was applying my moisturizer wrong when I first bought it and I went through it so quick but I loved how it felt on my skin. Then a counter rep told me you're suppose to warm it up I was blown away

    Super informative video and the blogpost with detailed ingredients is so helpful! I've had a few allergic reactions in the past few years from facial skincare products, so I always dissect the ingredient list like crazy. After watching your skincare routine video, I finally took the plunge and tried SK-II and it's helped my skin SO much. I think that's what I'm going to stick with, but this video makes me want to explore La Mer, too!
    I wish I were as rich as J. Lo and could use these fancy products all over my body =p lol!

      la Mer is great for days (or months lol) when you need that extra nourishment but i still prefer skii for everyday use.. but you MUST try la Mer Eye Concentrate! its's amazing!
      and I thought about it after this vid and I don't think I have the patience to melt creme de la Mer and pat it in all over my body even if I was as rich as JLo! that would take forever!LOL

    Wow your skin is very healthy n beautiful. I just purchase cream de la mer and also eye concentrate. I am debating to purchase between The concentrate 1.7 oz and skII products ( the RNA Power essence and GenOptics Aura Essence). What is ur recommendation? I have acne scars from years ago. I saw many review, sk ii product can help anti aging and reduce acne scars. I know the concentrate has good products but with that price , I can purchase those SK II products n use it more than 6 months while the concentrate may be 3 months. Btw, we are in the similar age n my skin is dry. Thank u

    Nice review 👍🏼. I've recently bought the la mer range and is really pleased with them. The range not only heal my acne prone skin, it also soothe my sensitive skin area. Although it's very expensive, I believe La Mer is worth every penny. It really speed up the healing process unlike other products which takes really long time to see the effect.

I've been wanting to try their cellular power serums^^ 😘

    Hi,
    Does The Concentrate help to reduce redness from acne scars too?

    • @kbeautymuse
      @kbeautymuse  7 років тому

      Hi^^ yes it did help with redness from acne scars but more so helps to heal skin then treat redness... for redness from recent acne, I think the essence lotion is just fine without the concentrate^^

  • @glitabaybee1

    Great video , I use la mer I use the moisturising soft creme for day and the original creme for night I also use the eye concentrate and eye gel which I adore and I switch between regenerating serum and radiance serums which I also think are amazing the hand treatment is gorgeous too , what I think is amazing with la mer is although it's expensive a little bit goes a long way so although it's pricey I don't spend that much more than I did before I look at it as saving in the long run on injections or laser

    Thx, I have a tub of the original Le Mer which I was hesitant to open, cos of my skin condition (had lots of breakouts so wasn't ready to try new products). Glad to know that this can be used even during breakouts.

    • @kbeautymuse
      @kbeautymuse  9 років тому

      I wouldn't recommend it for use during severe breakout unless you use it along with an acne treatment product.. it does wonders for post breakout in terms of healing and calming your skin that's been through breakout

    Hello darling!!! I was about to try the skii line, I have acne prone sensitive skin, right now my major concern are acne scars but now and then I still have active acne, I was thinking to buy the essence, the clear lotion and the mask-in-lotion.. And the la mer lotion as moisturizer! But now I saw your review.. And I WANT all of these!!! Hopefully in the future I will be able to try both the lines, but which do you suggest me to try first? La mer or skii? I'm so confused! I do hope you could understand my italian-ish english hihihi! Thank you so much you're gorgeous baci from Italyyy

    • @kbeautymuse
      @kbeautymuse  9 років тому +1

      Hello~~ I would actually recommend going with SKII: the clear lotion, the essence, the power brightening specialist (for acne scars), and either brightening derm (if u are oily) or stempower cream (normal to combination skin), and creme de la Mer if you have dry skin or have dry irritated patches of skin from post acne.. I wouldn't get both the clear lotion and mask in lotion because they both function as toner/balancer, there's no need for both (mask-in lotion is actually not any type of mask, it doesn't function as such, it's a toner/balancer to assist with SKII cellumination line of products)..the clear lotion has AHA and BHA which can assist with minor acne prevention. Since warmer weather is approaching, I would say you should go with SKII and maybe save la Mer for coming Fall/Winter^^ Hope this helped 😘

      @kbeautymuse  7 років тому

      Hi^^ yes I used it while i had combination skin as well but only at at night because it can seem slightly heavy for day wear (creme de la mer) but the concentrate and essence lotion is great for day or night and for all skin types^^

    Hi! I want to ask if the la mer moisturizing cream good for severe dry flaky redness skin? Or if it's better with both treatment lotion and concentrate? Or do you have any other tips for my skin condition? Thanks!

    • @violafong6637
      @violafong6637 9 років тому

      I'm also wondering if it's ok to use different brand's skin care product at the same time or if it's better to use only 1 brand? As I'm using AESOP toner, Korean Innisfree serum and just started using creme de la mer. Thanks again!

    • @kbeautymuse
      @kbeautymuse  9 років тому +1

      Creme de la Mer is amazing for dry flaky skin and it should help calm redness of the skin if it's due to irritation. The concentrate won't do much for dryness but it may help with redness. The treatment lotion is a good addition to using creme de la Mer, it tones the skin and helps to boost the effect of creme de la Mer as well as the concentrate. I recommend trying the treatment lotion+creme de la Mer and perhaps trying a AHA peeling gel to treat dry flaky skin or BHA peeling gel if your skin is acne prone. But since you have redness, don't use AHA or BHA products that's more than 5% AHA/BHA and start off by just using it once a week and slowly move up to using it every other day. Also try using Hyaluronic Acid face mask, I recently reviewed couple of Korean Hyaluronic acid sheet masks and I find that they really help to moisturise the skin and works amazing after using AHA peeling gel.

    • @kbeautymuse
      @kbeautymuse  9 років тому

      Viola Fong It's totally OK to use different skin care brand products as long it's well suited for your skin type. I usually try to use full range of a particular line when it's for a targeted skin problem such as treating discolouration because certain brands have their own special ingredient/method for treating discolouration so it boosts effect of their serum if you use it with their toner and moisturiser etc... Otherwise, I think it's smart to pick and choose different brand products as suited to your skin. I used creme de la Mer before with some Diorsnow products because I needed to treat some dark spots but Diorsnow moisturiser wasn't moisturising enough for my skin^^

    May I know your thoughts on Le Mer and SKII, when should one use LM and SKII?

    • @kbeautymuse
      @kbeautymuse  9 років тому +1

      Both la Mer and SKII have diff lines of products for diff skin concerns/types but if I'm to generalize based on their main products (la mer treatment lotion/creme de la mer vs skii treatment essence/stempower cream), go with la Mer if you want that extra nourishment of thicker textured products and need healing/protection from skin issues like post acne,derm treatments, or have very dry skin, and choose SKII, if you want lighter texture anti-aging/prevention products.. My personal preference for year round everyday use are SKII products, and la Mer for Fall and esp Winter dry skin days due to weather change and also la Mer when I need to deal post acne/skin injury^^

    just goes to show that if you throw a super high price tag on something people will buy it thinking it's better than anything else out there. The second ingredient in La Mer face creams is mineral oil, the molecules of mineral oil are too large to even penetrate the skin so all it does is sit on top and is very comedogenic. if you're looking for a good anti aging skin care products look into The Ordinary or Noid products by the parent company, Deciem. Lamer has low quality ingredients, you're literally just paying for a name

    I really think that la mer cream is the biggest joke ever, for that price and it's in a bloody jar, the ingredients won't contain once it's open. And the ingredients aren't even that expensive and rare, for the life of me I just don't get why they are charging that price.

    • @kbeautymuse

      hmm...yes I do agree that it's over priced and also that the ingredients aren't rare expensive ones but I do believe that even same ingredients differ in quality depending on how it's grown/handled; I mean these "seaweeds" are harvested acoustically and then transported by a top special helicopter~and only the finest mineral oils and... i'm just being silly and sarcastic^^hehe~ on serious note, whether a person decides to invest on buying a tub of creme de la mer really depends on...just that person; I enjoyed using la mer especially for its regenerating qualities but i don't doubt that there are more affordable products out there that works just as well. For me it worked like a "miracle" in healing my skin and I love trying and discovering new products so it was worth the experience but it may not be "worth it" for everyone.

      ABBY LIANG I work at a makeup counter and went to a La Mer event a few days ago. Firstly, it look the original owner 12 years and over 6000 experiments to invent the miracle broth! That's a long time! When Este Lauder contacted the daughter of the creator to buy the brand, they had no idea how to make the broth because no instructions were left so they then had to reverse engineer it. (When they ferment the sea kelp they use sound and light technology to do so- they're in tanks on metal plates that shake with a light shining on it). The sea kelp is also only harvested twice a year to avoid damaging the Eco system and it is done by hand and row boats to avoid pollution. There's a lot more to La Mer than just the ingredients.

      If it worked like a miracle cream, you should have had before and after pictures to show us how your skin changed. thanks.

      oh haha i didn't think to take before and after photos at the time (i didn't start using la mer to do a review) and i don't know if i would've been brave enough to share such even if i had... but i can tell you that it did do wonderful things for my skin - i have no reason to be dishonest about it- i'm not sponsored by la mer, and all products were purchased multiple times by me and i love sharing information about products that worked for me. what works for me may not work for others as we all have different skin xx

    isnt SKII terrible for your skin if you stop using it? I believe the ingredients are not so natural and it meant to lock you in with them. Once you stop your skin does not absorb anything else, which is so bad.

      +Google User I've been using some SK-II for 8 years now... on and off... I do seem to go back to using SK-II products pretty often.. I think it's matter of finding skincare products that suits your needs at that time... when you switch after using same products for a long time, other products may either seem to work really well or not work at all which could be that your skin needs some time to get used to the new products (or that these new products just don't suit your skin)... I would only use a entire line of skincare products from one brand for few months at a time mostly for review purposes or sometimes just to find out if there is a benefit from using the entire line but usually I mix up products from different brands.. I personally don't find that SK-II products disrupt benefits of other brand products when I stop using them.. but we do all have unique skin types so perhaps there are people out there that feels differently~ ^^

    Over priced products that have perfume on them! That’s a NO NO on skin care! Go buy cerave it cost a fraction of the price and it is the best skincare out there.

    placebo effect anybody

      @kbeautymuse  7 років тому +3

      Sure there's that possibility due to the overwhelming amount of positive reviews and feedbacks on the miracle of creme de la mer out there...but for me, I did see noticeable benefits, not overnight or after just couple of use, but consistent use helped my skin recover from damage really well compared to other products I've tried in the past^^
