The Shower Buddy chair is great. It doesn't move when the wheels are locked, and I can lock/unlock them with my big toe when giving my wife a shower. One thing to be aware of... you need to take it apart and let the parts dry completely, or it will get some rust. Thanks for the video (and others)!
Im a fresh grad from the pandemic era and I just recently found this channel. Really2 appreciate ur effort on putting out these amazing contents related to OT. It helps me a lot to give a better equipment suggestion to my clients. Anw, may I know how long does it takes for u to get really confident in prescribing the equipments for ur clients?
I’m so glad I can help you! I found that the more I hung around the equipment process (forcing my way into the conversation 😆) the more informed I felt and the more qualified I felt helping patients choose. I’ve been doing this for 10 years.
Does the commode slide out from the back while person is actually still sitting on the chair, so it can be emptied? I am using as a computer chair for my mom I have her without underwear to avoid her sitting in soiled diapers while playing her games.
Yes. Unlike the SOLO that has plastic wheels that spin uselessly. Haven't figured out why they never considered bicycle type wheels that would give traction.
Thanks! Useful video for putting this together. Short and to the point!
Thank you!

That's a very good point! Thorough drying before bagging is super important. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much. Always great info and detailed instructions. Appreciate your attention to detail in these videos.
You are welcome! I’m so happy to help!

@@EquipMeOT i see. It is still a long process for me then. Really hope that I get better soon and gain more confidence in practicing OT
You will! The process is worth it!

Yes, the container can be slid out while they are still seated.
Very helpful thank you...
Glad it was helpful!
Can a caregiver tilt to lift up or down a step into the shower?
I hate this, I spent a fortune on it 2 months ago and 2 of the wheels will NOT MOVE. THANK YOU SHOWER BUDDY.
Probably too late but what was the width at it's widest point?
where can buy?
Found it here:

is there a shower buddy chair that will allow for slide transfers and be foldable?
I don’t think so, but I can ask!
Does it roll freely on carpet?
It depends on the thickness of the carpet. The wheels are smaller, so they don’t do great on thicker rugs or carpet.

Looking for a handing cap roller shower chair shower buddy. SB7e
