Dear Bartosz, I have an entirely Cyrus system of CDT, DACX, DAB 8, PRE X and eight Power Smart Amps all with PSX-RS. I use these to drive heavily modified Kef Threeway BMT speakers. I use a Citronic Active Crossover to split the signal to the Smarts from the Pre X. I am somewhat surprised that there is no active x-over unit of Cyrus design, except the splitters in the active speaker range. Is there a way to modify a Cyrus unit (a DAC or AV Master or those in the speaker units,) to perform this role.
You should say you are about speed, dynamics and the tonally raw sound , that encompasses your products. Not bass or colouration that is of a concert but insight at home levels. The thing about intake of breath at around 2 mins is what every brand wants to achieve from hifi and doesn’t differentiate you. It makes it sound overly commercial. If I was you I’d be really clear about how you differentiate the sound of your products from competition in a very precise way, as precise as that sound often is. If you get away from the marketing speak of HiFi companies doing promotion on UA-cam - which doesn’t increase numbers - and bring it down to a home audience in a familiar, cosy and consumer driven way you will increase your you tube numbers. This is what UA-cam is about - it’s about the dog videos and lifestyle nature of things. You should act out the videos better if scripted, more b roll. If I was you I’d do what Paul McGowan does. Explain the downsides of some elements of your designs as well as positives in a balanced way to get people seeing you are all about the consumer. That’s what people respond to on UA-cam. Or think of a unique idea for conveying the trust people want and the vicarious living element of UA-cam is huge. People want to live your life on UA-cam of the creativity or filming and discussing and knowing about hifi. David not smiling doesn’t do that, or explaining the point 2 mins in. Sorry but these videos don’t do this. Reading from the teleprompter is obvious too as you see the eyes scan left and right - you need to have prompt text same width as the lens. Also you should present without a script at times to make it more natural. Also add some humour and fun as people want it. If you do all this , as well as increasing creativity and production more you will get people who really trust you and buy and numbers will get higher. It is hard work but will be worth it. Hifi is entertainment and that’s what a hifi video should be about. Originality too. Stuart should present the videos because he is really natural too. Constructive feedback.
I found the video interesting. More than can say for your overly long and boring list of negatives. The guys at Cyrus are real people and make great products. I don't expect them to be great presenters or youtube stars.
@@johngarbutt you might not but this was aimed at being brutally honest. The more the channel can cross over to people who do appreciate that, even if others and you don’t, it has to be more successful.
