Was lucky to pick up the first allocation back in Aug this year. A great all round performer. 👌👌
It would be awesome if you guys could tee up a comparison between the Cupra Formentor VZx, Tiguan R, T-Roc R and the Kona N. There is a big price gap between the Kona N and the rest, but it would be cool to see what sort of “fruit”, interior quality and performance the premium bags you.
The Formentor looks like it’s striking the balance, but at the moment we are spoilt for choice if you also include the Cupra Ateca VZx.
I once had a Charger so I know the feeling of driving a car of the year.
Sounds like the VZx, not the VZ. Nice if you got it right!
What about the Formentor V entry level? The cost is similar to Skoda Karoq Sport, however Skoda Karoq has 2.L 140KW, for such a money you can buy Skoda Octavia WRS or even Skoda Kodiaq.
This or the i30n sedan on track? I feel like the i30 is more fun and capable
So weird we don't get the traffic sign recognition on the Cupra SUV models in Australia when the tech is there and works in EU and UK (therefore right hand drive). Surely it's just a software update that Cupra can bring to us?
I have this car in the VZ2 310 bhp version, yes it is very good but there's that infotainment system that's full of bugs and does some weird stuff like not letting you enter the car, or it can make random phone calls to even slamming the brakes on for no apparent reason whatsoever are just a few examples and the dealers can't fix the faults.
VW know about this problem as it's a similar problem across their range of cars fitted with this infotainment system but the Formentor has many electrical niggles that need sorting, what are VW doing about it? Very little
There are a much better cars and brands deserving of the title.
Although it is a truly beautiful car and at the very affordable price but after sales customer care is questionable, parts availability still remains a big question mark, and much more.
I was keen to buy VZx Formentor but considering that Cupra managed to secure 7 partner service centres from Melbourne to Brisbane is just not enough proof that the after sale service will be great. I am super surprised that VW or Audi are not in the partnership with Cupra as a service partner. That was a deal breaker for me.
Far off the title.
61k 🧐 looks like a jacked up golf
Said nobody ever, mate it looks nothing like a Golf. Granted it shares the MQB evo chassis with the Golf R and Audi S3, hence the 14 stage suspension and it also shares the S3s EA888 228kw tune. But looks wise it has nothing in common….other than 4 wheels.
@Dardalus what?, I said it shares the MQB evo with the Golf and A3/S3. But it still looks nothing like a Mk8 Golf, confirm you’ve seen a MK8 Golf?
Also the Polo doesn’t use the MQB evo it uses the original MQB.
Nothing like a Golf. It's very unique in styling as is the brand.
@@jollybrandx9955 it basically is a tuned GTI. Doesn't have the feel of a Honda type r , i30n sedan or rs3 on track
Glad I ordered one 2.5 months ago
Ordered ours on 25/8. In that same colour. Was told late November to mid December delivery. It supposedly was built last week so maybe it's on a ship now.
@@kingjulian1549 if you don't mind could you please tell me how much did you paid and what are options added?
Had a VZX for about 5 weeks now, absolutely love it and I’m bloody picky with cars
