This was pure joy to watch! Never too long for me! I love anything with purple and am so excited to see you doing so much with that color! I'm excited to watch your dunga videos when they come available. Truly, anything you two put out is the first thing I click on! 🥰 I love ALL the fabrics you both showed and all the video ideas you mentioned sound fab!

There's something going on with the sound starting at 1:53 when you're showing the picture of the Ottoline Jacket. It sounds like there is two soundtracks overlapping? It's really difficult to hear what you're saying.

Would love to see a “how to” video on how to insert elastic section into the Alix skirt (or any other fixed waistband style garment)! Have the same issue as Rachel & just want to be comfortable at all times regardless of size/weight fluctuations.

On a side note....I keep hearing on the news that the UK is still in lock down, I’m in PA and we are open, if you’ve gotten vaccinated you can go almost anywhere sans mask. I’m not trying be political, I’m really just curious....I see some of the UK vloggers I follow are going to sewing classes and shopping in fabric store, the kids are in school, etc. what’s up? Thanks

We are currently still living with restrictions but things have opened up a lot. Shops, pubs and restaurants are open (but with restricted numbers) and we hope that all restrictions will be lifted within the next month. Rachel and I have both been vaccinated with our second jab due in the next few days, but we also use covid tests before we see each other to film etc. Hope that explains things for you

Always enjoy seeing to the two of you sharing your joy of fabric and plans. Very interested in the Chandler trousers. Already paused to have a look. Like elastic in back. But are they pull-on? Personally I prefer to combine the elastic with a zipper or fly. Otherwise I get too much fabric bunging up in back. Almost 12” difference between hips and waist … Also always like the makes where the two of you have a go at same pattern or concept. And oh, also like pattern drafting and hacking. In other words love it all, just like you 😉💕

I have a love-hate relationship with Style Arc. They have some great designs, but I find their instructions and diagrams so frustrating. I end up going back and working from “first principles” and making a partial toile rather than working out what they mean.
I’m also definitely inspired to make an unlined summer jacket ( thinking Hong Kong finished seams), with a Miami Vice vibe 😉.

Hi ladies, thanks for sharing your plans.
Rachel I’m loving your trousers choice, I think I might try those - I’m in on the flat front, elastic back comfort too 😊. I’ve just made a lovely pair of Pietra Pants by Closet Core patterns. They are fab! I think you’d look great in them too Rachel. I made the slim leg style and extended them to full length because cropped styles make me look even shorter (I’m only 5ft). I’ve got the Monty shirt pattern too but not used it yet. Would love to know how you’re choosing your size on that pattern, I’m a bit confused with the sizing across the bust with the grown on sleeves and some say it comes up too big on Pattern Review sites.
Nikki I love your mustard yellow fabric choice. Will be so interesting to see your gingham dress made up too. Really looking forward to seeing your jacket made up. Would love a jacket making/lining class with you two. I’ve got the Jasika jacket by Closet Core patterns, got everything ready - fabric, lining etc. but too scared to start. Deffo needs a toile first - this could be a long project 😂
Gorgeous fabrics ladies, looking forward to seeing all your makes. I love your longer length videos showing your fabric and pattern pairings, I find them both fun and inspirational.
Love your energy together - your international sign language for pockets and frills made me 😂🤣😂 and you make me smile from beginning to end xxx

Oooh .. The Monty. I've been searching for an interesting shirt that's 3/4 length, without the regular collar and regular placket and regular boring sleeves that can be worn with jeans, bike shorts, shorts, joggers, Capri's, yoga pants etc. Etc etc.... This might fit the bill. I bought a white gauze (I really really hate gauze) with black Stars on it. Bought it at a lark. It's really better suited for a toddler probably... But I fell for it. Figured it would be destined for a boyfriend shirt. But THE MONTY.... A review would be welcome. Even though I'm pretty sure I'll be buying the pattern before the day is gone... Thanks for the video.😁
