Mine alternator is locking to the right side with a screwdriver, but make a grinding sound to the left side. Is it defect?

It is broken... no sound should be heard from the pulley

@@elviejon7971 If you can disassembly the whole alternator, Just refurbish it. If you cant get the single parts out, Just Change IT. I Changed mine against a refurbished one
