I was at that gig in Grand Canal …. Awful cold bus journey back to Belfast to pick up my car n then drive for 45 minutes home to Newcastle. But she was worth it all.
I love Marianne! She's so real & honest ! I'd love to have dinner w her once @ LEAST HEAR HER FAB STORIES! Stay Well QUEEN OF POP MS FAITHFULL LOVE a& HUGS FROM CANADA ( I also loved & own your cool book!!)
The so-called "interviewer" had no idea that Faithful's relationship with Jagger soured horrendously decades ago is another indication that this generation knows absolutely nothing about rock 'n' roll. Why do these young girls that do interviews think women's only achievements are the men they slept with or famous men they knew? She didn't bother asking about any of her tours or albums. Worst interview with her I have ever seen.
She asked Marianne nothing about herself, just about the Rolling Stones. She obviously knows nothing about Marianne or her history, just gossip. What a lame interview
What a lame 'journalist'. Is she aware of the fact that Marianne Faithful has a career of her own? She was a singer before she even met the Stones. And she still performs. How disrespectful to only ask about her lovers and their weight! Marianne's life has been more troubled, inspiring and interesting that Jagger's. In my humble opinion.
chaja bato I think this is a spirited happy, not intimidating, not bullying interview. The interviewer is treating Marianne like a human not somebody she needs to stare down and extract a little scandalous nougat of information out of her for the next news cycle . Many musicians love Ireland because they are treated as human beings. Ireland is the favourite venue of Bruce Springsteen. The late Michael Jackson spent some of his best days in Ireland. Johnny Cash regularly came Ireland. Vrtually all the West Texan musicians made a voyage to Ireland and wrote songs about it. I am not of the opinion that journalists need to be always extracting information, but instead can be friendly and accepting.
@@jamesdolan4042I’m not convinced you know what the word “musician” means. It’s not synonymous with “pop star”. The people you name are of course very famous in pop culture and very rich, but they have only marginally to do with music. In any case, your defense of this brainless gossip monger is patently absurd.
@@herbertwells8757 Despite the fact that you have really tried to be intellectual here, you were completely on the essence of the topic at hand, and you were completely wrong in your attempt to initially describe music and then to attempt to give context to the word musician in the framework of my comment. What I observe here is Marianne Faithfull having light hearted conversation with a woman she knows only too well, in a country she knows only to well, in the absence of a scruitizing media. You can see her smiling and being very comfortable here.
@Kenmorfdublin Not very respectful to me, Ken, due or otherwise. And how unlike the denizens of the Dublin I know and love and where I found audiences to be some of the best in the world. Happy New Year.
What a staggering waste of an interview; Marianne's been starring in movies, particularly Chereau's 'Intimacy', Sofia Coppola's 'Marie Antoinette' & the love-it-or-hate-it 'Irina Palm' (I love it), garnering a Lifetime Achievement Award on International Women's Day, publishing a 2nd volume of autobiography & collaborating with some of the most creative musicians in the world (Nick Cave, Antony Hegarty, Rufus Wainwriight etc etc) & all Ms Cannon does is blather on about Jagger?????? WTF???
One of the sexiest women in the world. When she was younger no one could compare to her.
Great stuff -- thank you for uploading it!
She is amazing!!!!
Beautiful voice. Beautiful woman.
Could have asked her some questions not related to the Rollings Stones and Paul McCartney. Marianne is a sport!
there is no one cooler. period. you are so beautiful!!!
love marianne she is so amazing !

She sang 'Oh Danny Boy' better than most, if not all. Heard/seen it once only. If anyone can post it here, PLEASE do so
USA Loves you Marianne, So glad you came to this planet and shared your beautiful personality with us. You truly are a rose among the thorns.
ela acompanhou ao pe da letra o envelhecimento dos stones...teve a cara deles a vida toda...
Top woman!
Its about time they completed a Marianne faithful movie of her life, it would have to be at least 3 hours long ..lol

Glenda is so beautiful here plus she is a beautiful person met her once lovely person to talk to
She asked Marianne nothing about herself, just about the Rolling Stones. She obviously knows nothing about Marianne or her history, just gossip. What a lame interview
I thought Marianne and Mick were friends a little bit and occasionally speak
Is Mick friends with any of his exes?
