ive had this bike for few years now.ive replaced alot of the components on it.mostly chinese bits off aliexpress.ive changed the 36x 36 to a rear 42 ztto cassette and front ive put on 34 as alot of hills here.ive replaced also the bottom bracket with hollowtech ixf crank.also replaced tyres to a 50mm continental urban and put on a suspension seat post which is a game changer.also changed rear derailleur to a ltwoo 10speed long cage and shifters also to ltwoo 10speed. im now in the process of changing the v brakes to disc brakes.
Hi, on the Decathlon Canadian website, the part number for the Riverside 500 hanger is 8527894. Hope this helps. Cheers. www.decathlon.ca/en/p/8527894/derailleur-hanger-rockrider-st-500-520-riverside-500-900?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwurS3BhCGARIsADdUH50hf4BHwi4Giv_DIXCWKB0NH_E7GYf9MflLTd69bjahiue-My1vPQYaAsYoEALw_wcB
Hi, my BTwin 500 came equipped with pre-adjustable spring on the one side of the front fork for stiff to soft ride adjustment. Better suspension would have pre-adjustable springs on both sides of the fork. The fork was not designed for extreme downhill riding, but does work very well for the indented riding of the bike. Hope this helps.
Hi, gear ratio for the BTwin is 1.0 (36t chain ring in the front / 36t large cog in the back) Anything between 0.7 to 1.5 is typically great for hill climbing. Hope this helps.
@@johnsbikerestorations well it depends, if u live in a big city, or not. In Berlin there is glass everywhere (drunk people slamming their beer bottles on the ground) and therefore endet up changing the tire was a real big issue for me.
@@xd1be9nb7v tell that to my bike garage service. they clearly wanted to make money, yet with a racing wheel, you easily get a flat tire... did u ever drove over glass with a racing tire? i doubt it, otherwise you woudn't talk about it in that way... sad, that you just seem to be trolling, when your life could have prupose instead, too.
I've had this bike for a week and a half and its great so far, I want to see how it holds up in the winter w/ studded tires.

The Btwin makes for a great upgrade bike. Nice work on your 10 speed upgrade!
It's a good bike, you'd say? Am thinking of buying it.
@@oikabirakittheaa if you are comfortable with upgrading many of the components otherwise I'd buy a better spec 2nd hand bike.
@@ianpearson8976 happy to upgrade. but what should i start with?
Comprei uma dessa para minha esposa aqui no Brazil, só a suspensão e diferente ela tem trava .

@@johnsbikerestorations Do you know the gear ratio of Triban RC 100,is it good for climbs
Had this bike for over 5 years... the amount of tire changing costs STUPID MUCH... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Really!
Sorry to hear you've had trouble with the bike! The one I had no issues over the time I had it. Thanks for the comment!

So you replaced the bad tire with another bad tire? Classic definition of crazy.
