Kuroko is the name of the ligh blue guy. Kuroko and the other 5 guy are the generation of miracles in basketball, they played together in middle school. But because they were too overpower, they decided to go to different high school each one of them so they can face each other. Opening 6 is a flashback when they're in the same middle school called TEIKO.
Kuroko's voice actor is also singer of opening 6 and ending 4😙
It wasn't really decided, Akashi just told them they have to choose different schools :P
Fun fact, the ending at 11:51 is sung by Ono Kensho, Kuroko’s voice actor
And op 6 「ゼロ」at 16:44 was by him, too!

They got no superpower or some sort, its just a dramatic visualitazion of what the athletes called the "zone", Zone here is a state where an athelete reach an extreme concentration and calmness, in this state they can exert more power to do somethings they usually cant do or they just do their ussual moves but its perfectly and flawlessly executed, and most of them will felt like everybody but them moves slower, but its extremely exhausting and takes a toll on the athletes body
Sports anime are some of my absolute favorite. Knb was my first one and it's still great. I'd recommend Hajime no ippo ops and Eds as well
I wouldn't say they have "superpowers". What they do is just completely over the top/exaggerated. Someting like never missing the basket (or just once in a full game). They are just so good that real NBA players would look like amateurs. :D
Yeah their "superpowers" are over exaggerated where in theory most of them if not all are "possible" in theory but not really :D
Still not as bad as something like prince of tennis where they defy the laws of physics and do things that don't exist in the sport
Just imagine what NBA players in the kuroko universe are like
@@MapleV2 Lebron would jump from the his own halfcourt, through 3 blocking defenders for a 2 and 1. And Steph would just throw the ball in under 1 sec, without looking at the basket when he does. (or something like that)
This anime is like JoJo, in that there's not a single bad opening or ending. Most of them are sung by GRANRODEO, the vocalist actually voices Himuro (the one badass lookin dude on Yosen from OP 3 and 4). Some of the other OPs and EDs are sung by OLDCODEX (of which the vocalist voices Takao, the guy with the slick passes on Shutoku) and Kensho Ono (Kuroko, the light blue haired guy)

No they don't literally have powers. It's just that whenever they use a special technique they animated that way for special effects.

The powers you talking about is just effects to make the anime more engaging but there are really monsters on the court
Awesome reaction. I became a fan of Granrodeo through Bungo Stay Dogs (also, fun fact: the lead singer for Granrodeo voiced a character in the series). Started KnB after school one day and fell in love with the series. I love that Granrodeo does 6 of the 7 openings.
It's the other way around, they used to be all on the same team in college. Now in high school, they're all split up to compete against each other.

Kuroke no Basket, the basketball anime where certain characters have abilities that have a basis in real life basketball but get cranked up 10,000% so it's more like a special power and the animation signifies that.
They don't have powers. It's just the anime representation of moves, portraying them to be very flashy and colorful. That was true until later seasons, some things just became a superpower fest.
It was true that people can have a wider field of vision (represented as eagle and hawk eyes in the anime), it is also true that people can enter the zone (an absolute state of focus). The only busllsht thing for me is (spoiler ahead) the emperor's eye. Well we can say that the emperor's eye as simply being extremely good at predictions.
emperor’s eye is much better explained in manga, idk why the anime tried to portray it like a superpower. basically emperor’s eye is a name for akashi’s kinetic vision, he’s super observant and with his intellect, is able to make super accurate predictions (like momoi’s precognitive defense, but on the spot)
Hi, i don't care about basketball and i don't watch sports anime at all but kuroko no basket for some reason is one anime that i love. I have watched it many times and i will subscribe hoping you react to it. For dome reason kuroko is not as popular as it deserves and no many people react to it

The Kuroko's name kanji also can read like Muziro and that word means Light Blue. The first meaning is Black
Sorry, I didn't notice I wrote muziro. It's MIZUIRO, that's means light blue and the kanji you can read like that and Kuroko, means black.

They dont have powers like my hero academia type shit but they exaggerate real basketball moves and plays in an anime way lol the hype animation also makes it seem like its legit powers but no one can like make fireballs or shit like that. Just anime over-exaggeratuon. Also ED4 is sung by Kuroko's voice actor, Kensho Ono.
Just another recommendation. If you want to see sport anime with real power than check out Inazuma Eleven all opening 1-6. It's a football anime. It's a very good anime.

the flashing stuff is just a visual effect to show how fast that ball is.. no super power in the show..every effect is just so the viewer got the idea what happen.. :D

Technically most of them can be done, just not to that same level or consistently. Midorima might be the most physically unrealistic one tbh lmao however at the rate the game is growing with three point shots i would not be surprised if in a few generations you start getting some people that try that shit lmao

I didn’t like basketball before watching Kuroko. I still don’t like basketball after. But it was a wonderful sport anime, full of suspense and fun.
I really recommend checking out Danmachi Openings & Endings. They got really good with the later seasons and I think it's worth checking out. The anime itself is pretty good in my opinion. Season 4 is still airing so we will get another Opening and Ending so if you don't consider doing it right now, it's a good recommendation later.

Haikyuu is better sport anime but kuroko always special in my heart because this anime is my first sport anime when i start watch anime in my laptop
