1:00 onwards, the problem is with the basic design of shoving in a rank mode in the first place. it forced everyone off the grand variety of cards that you could play in order to win as consistently as possible, which in turn prints out cards that gradually focus on winning (power creep), which in turn poisons the ladder climb and ends up cutting out everyone in your online game you need to serve as part of the experience. i think the system they used is based on golf rather than a system based on a card game.
Correlation =/= causation. Yes, the people who want to win more play better cards than people who dont. But that doesnt mean powercreep exists for those players. Powercreep happens because without it, there is no variance in the game. I just believe ranked modes are good for games, even though their worst aspect is that they encourage wanting to win.
Its more fun to stream with cam off so I do it sometimes. Just more comfortable. Used to use my avatar, but used plush once and thought it was fun, plus viewers seem to like it, so I keep doing it.
