I rank the Splatoon Community drawing Post art that I found in the city plaza in Splatoon 3. Some Much more wild posts among us in the Splatoon Community art than I expected. Shiver and Frye Wouldn't be proud. Big Man Would love this though. Nintendo will continue to neglect their online services.

3:45 the furry porn era was awful. You wanna know why I got banned off of twitter? I just said that maybe people shouldnt be posting furry fetish porn art in the lobby of a game that has a large number of children playing it. I was then told "its not inherently sexual", "they wouldnt understand what they are looking at anyways", and other dumb shit, and I was mass reported to the point of being permanently suspended.

people posting about autism as a joke is less of joking about autism but more of a parody of badly done autism awareness stuff (for example, that one a**ism s***ks video of a guy narrating in first person as autism itself but in a demonizing way). i don't know how i feel about autism being called a mental disability/illness/disorder since it's technically none of those things. i am autistic myself
yeah the autism posting feels like it's being made in solidarity with autism as a neurodivergence and not making fun of it. i actually really like those posts and i'm autistic too
Yep the main difference between people posting about their autism and people posting about their seasonal depress is that nobody wants seasonal depression and nothing good comes from it
Yeah it’s ok to lightly joke about your autism if you have autism but you need to know your audience. It can come off as downplaying etc.
It is a disability when you use a different model of disability, than the Individual/medical one. I recommend to look into the social model of disability. It was developed out of the disability rights movement. The main statement basically boils down to stating that we are disabled by social barriers and not our impairments or differences. So we are not broken but our social structures who aren't build for us are and they are what is actively disabling us.
It is of course still a question of personal preference weather any individual likes to label themselves/ be labeled as disabled, but i think seeing ourself in terms of the social model brings the most utility in analyzing and changing society.

Protip for the "gender as an adjective" confusion:
When someone says that something "is (so) gender", it's usually in reference to gender envy or just in general liking something's/someone's aesthetic as it relates to gender. I've seen it in reference to androgynous looking characters a lot, as well as soft, feminine looks with short haircuts, or just goofy looking creatures in general. The Inklings' & Octolings' general customizability, lack of gender locked hair/clothing styles in 3, & ability to look cool or fashionable regardless of what wild things they're wearing is indeed "gender", as the meme refers to it.
Also, in general I'm sort of disappointed that you usually ranked the LGBT & neurodivergent stuff lower. As someone from both communities, seeing all the love & support the Splatoon community puts out for people like me always warms my heart. No, I don't agree that we should be posting inappropriate things on the funny squid game for children, but children can be LGBT, autistic, ADHD, etc too. Plus, they may not be aware of these terms & seeing them can lead them to asking about or looking them up. It may help them not to feel broken or alone in the universe. It could help someone out there love themselves.
As someone who grew up not knowing much about neurodivergence & LGBT topics due to social stigma, my understanding of myself definitely suffered without the language to describe what I was feeling. Now, I celebrate every acknowledgement that people like me exist. People are getting help where I struggled alone. People are loving each other openly & honestly. People are getting recognition for who & what they are. & I just think it's kinda cool that the funny squid game has become a haven for inclusion & acceptance in a space meant for kids. Especially during Pride month!! Like holy heck, there's always so much positivity!! And I genuinely, truly love it all... :)

Thank you for this! I've been trying to find a way to describe why Splatoons self expression options feel so so freeing and while i don't believe I am Neurodivergent I am most certainly queer. The awareness of these things even if, they are in a silly squid game, does make an impact. ♥️

4:17 that was a fan post of the person who posted “fish yaoi” with a picture of two male salmon kissing with a heart symbol above them and then, roughly a week later, posted “they broke up” with the same two salmon, except the one on the right is crying and the one on the left has only the back half shown, implied to be leaving, while the heart turned into a broken heart. this particular one was posted after both, which contradicts the salmon yaoi canon

As someone on the spectrum, I echo this statement. To be fair, it was considered a disorder quite a while, only recently has the discourse shifted towards calling it a differing ability or neurodivergence, so some people just may not know. Regardless, I agree with you, at least hearting and replying to the comment should do ths trick.

I apologize, I certainly didn't mean to disparage anyone with autism. My understanding of it comes entirely from an entry level education describing autism explicitly as a group of disorders & disabilities back in college and since I don't work in the medical or psychological fields it's not something I've been keeping up on. I understand the understanding of this particular subject has evolved considerably in the last couple decades and classification of this and many other conditions have may have changed as a result. If it's no longer considered a disorder, I'll try to avoid referring to it as such in the future.

@@Elijah24553 gender expression is the various ways ppl can express their gender identity. Be it through dress, behavior, appearance, ect. Sometimes when someone sees someone else express their gender in a specific way, they may experience gender euphoria and may want to replicate it. So when they call something "gender" as an adjective, it's just saying they like that form of gender expression. Sorry if that's not specific enough of an elaboration, I can explain further if you want
