So awesomeness you captured it, there isn't much footage of the 2 night run on UA-cam . Havent seen a show since Milwaukie, 23 just got the news about jimmy. Hoping its a healthy recovery .i was hoping to hit Memphis before Halloween but doubt a fall run will happen now. Health is number 1 though. I wouldn't rule out new years run , and they haven't played Nashville since.
Glad you found the post brother. Both nights were really special. New Year’s Eve was the most special NYE of my 64 year old life. From what I’ve read it sounds like Jimmy’s prognosis is good. Hopefully it won’t keep them off the road for long. Cheers!
I was there, first notes of wondering the crowd exploded lol then nobody's fault slowed down the first set, until black out blues .. 2nd set was the meat and potatoes. Honky red the band got gritty, and the place got dark and spooky lol. Or maybe it was the bag of apes I scarffed down lol. Ribs and whiskey and Greta and all time low and chilly water made the place erupt , then 3rd set ball drop love the ones your with. Had us smiling from ear to ear. The disco second skin tie your shoes, was a great topping for the 3rd set.. but whenm sandbox was played after ppl left to beat traffic had me in tears. Been listening and seeing this band since 2000. And wasn't able to catch w sandbox in my 22years of being a fan, until that night in Nashville. What's crazy it seemed like ppl didn't know how profound it was for the bans to lay that song down for us.. wsmfp are where it's at
So happy for you brother to have heard Sandbox. I’ve only started following them closely in the last five years or so and these two nights were my first time to see them. Knocked my socks off and instantly became a hardcore fan. I heard tons of people talking excitedly around me about Sandbox. Had no idea what a privilege it was to hear at the time. I’m so glad I have my video to relive it all!
1:14:00 ...this SV is really jazzy here - Its gotta be Jimmy Herring's influence. Live in the Classic City Era SV - Mickey! - was different. More balls out rocking. But this s*** - from JH - is really cool. Its an advancement, IMO..
Haha, yeah a little tricky on posting the year since the show started in 2022 and ended in 2023. But it was billed as a New Years EVE show and mostly took place in 2022, and so…
Haha, I’ll admit that is clever. Different strokes for different strokes I guess. I assure you the 19,000+ people there were anything but bored. Rowdy crowd that stood for over four hours. 🤩

Really nice analysis. Yeah I felt like the whole set was generally extra “balls out rocking”.
2022????
