- The Beamish Steam Gala otherwise known as Beamish Steam Gala Wheels of Industry is an event held in the open air museum. The Show Features lots to offer from Classic and Vintage Vehicles, Trucks, Traction Engines, Steam Rollers, Steam Wagons ,the best part of the show for many visitors is the Stunning Landscape of the Museum itself. There are forms of museum transport which are old buses and trams which visitors can ride on and go to different destinations from the 1900s Pit Village and Colliery to the bustling Towns of the 1900s and 1950s. The Staff of the museum dress up in period correct clothing so it makes you feel like you have stepped back in time to relive rural england and how towns once were.
This is one of the main events of the year where Steam Vehicles such as Traction Engines, Steam Rollers, Steam Wagons and Steam Cars are driven round the museum as well as Classic Cars and Trucks. There was a variety of vehicle movement over the 2 day event this video covers the event as a whole and how the Wheels Of Industry was intended to be seen by the public on both Saturday and Sunday (6th & 7th April 2024)
The Museum was joined by visiting Steam Locomotives some of these were on the Narrow Gauge Railway, Manning Wardle 0-6-0ST ‘Sir Berkeley’, courtesy of the Vintage Carriage Trust and Middleton Railway and
Quarry Hunslet narrow gauge 0-4-0STs ‘Britomart’ and ‘Hugh Napier’ from the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway.
A Big Thanks to all the Event Organizers, Staff, Volunteers and of course the Engine Owners for putting on such a great event Beamish Museum for the Wheels of Industry Event.

Thanks, Im glad you enjoyed the footage I took. The museum is a great place and the Steam Gala is probably the best event there if your into Steam Rallys. I will definitely be going back for next year I might even do an extra day just to see the place more. I did 2 days and I didn't even go in any buildings it definitely a magical place the atmosphere alone is worth it.

Talisman is a stunning road locomotive. It was well worth my jump to 4K quality makes all the difference in detail.

Thanks, Im glad you enjoyed the video the shotgun microphone picked up the sounds very well. Sunday was a bit more windy but I tried my best to reduce the wind noise.
