Hey man, thank you for posting this video! I was just told by my recruiter that I was selected to be an officer and to serve as a physical therapist in the Army. I am looking forward to finding out when I will be heading to DCC. This information is exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you for the video. I will be attending DCC at Fort Sill in February. I have heard that I should by buy gear, especially boots, in advance Where do you recommend I purchase those items? I have orders, but do not have a CAC and won't be active duty until I arrive at Fort Sill.
Pretty sure you need to be fully/independently licensed before you can get a direct commission. I've heard of programs that will take you with a provisional license, for social work that's typically an LMSW (depending on state licensing) but every time I've talked to a recruiter they've said they don't have a program like that. You have to be fully licensed as an LCSW (in most states). For many states, you have to be an LMSW for 2 to 3 years and receive hundreds of hours of supervision before you can take the LCSW (LISW in my state of Iowa) exam.
Thank you for your detailed video of what to expect

Music is too loud
How long is DCC or BOLC? Do you go to your school directly after? AF DC does them separately. Just curious.
Hey there. DCC was a total of five weeks (in 2018). Your BOLC depends on your branch. For us Medical folk, it was roughly 8-10 weeks.
Do you have your MSW? Im thinking about joining the Army after my 1 yr MSW program and want to join as an officer
