2013 Ford Edge SEL heater not working FIXED -. different style buttons

- Everything worked, AC, vents, fan, but would only blow cold air when I needed heat.
The problem was that my buttons on the heater control looked different than other videos I found on YT so I figured out which buttons to hold on my truck's style of HVAC control to put it in diagnostic / reset mode and it works!
I’m on a road trip in northern Michigan and the heat went out, you saved my a$$. Thank you

Just did your button push fix for my 2013 Ford Edge SEL. Worked the first time yay!!!
Every couple of years, the climate control in my 2014 Ford Edge would act up, usually in the summer. The driver's side would have cool A/C while the passenger side blew hot air. I was told it needed a new flap, and with labor, I paid $420. The same issue happened again, and luckily, I found this video. I couldn't believe it-the reset worked, and just like that, both the driver and passenger sides had nice, cool A/C. It makes me wonder if the mechanic actually installed a new part previously or just did the reset.

I thought dude was full of crap my a/c work driver passenger blew heat mechanics told me I needed replace motor for A/C unit i just tried this while am at work and legit working ice cold A/C you save me good chunk of change thank you 🎉
Finally fixed this misery of an issue. 3 years trying to figure out why the heat didn't work every fall. I just keep pushing buttons for two weeks until it came on but never realized what I did.Thank you!!!!!! Note to any others, you must start with the heat off. If you turn the vehicle on and the heater is on first turn it off then shut off the car then re-start then go through the procedure.
This didn’t work at first, after watching and listening again I made sure to do it exactly as explained and BAM! the hear is on. Thank you for posting this fix brother.
This is same as mine. Had the problem. Heat on passenger side not driver's. Had to do it about 3 times but then it worked. There are so many hidden resets these days! I'm sure the dealer would have been happy to do a $300/400 blend door accuator replacement. Kudos to the guys who figure these things out and post them for the rest of us.
Thanks for this. Had to use the heat this morning. Then went to go out this afternoon and driver side was blowing hot and passenger blowing cold. I searched and searched for a way to fix or diagnose the issue and couldn’t find anything with my lay out until I stumbled upon your video and the layout was the same. Did exactly what you did and boom fixed it!! You saved me a decent amount money!!!! Thanks again for posting this and having this video for us fellow ford edge owners!!!

My problem was,both ac and heating working at same time. problem fixed by using same way as you mentioned in your video...many thanks for your help.
Thanks! I was getting only heat out of the drivers side even with the A/C working normally on the passenger side. I tried your tip and now all is working normal again. Thanks so much!

Thanks very much, that fixed my concern on my 2014 Ford Edge Sel. Worked the first time through the recalibration to correct the drivers side blowing hot air, and passengers side blowing cold. I was real close to replacing the left side blend door actuator.

Thank you! With car running and AC on (in park), I pressed defrost and the power button simultaneously and it worked!. It took about 10 tries but I was able to hear something happening in the dash when I did it the correct way. I have a 2014 Ford Edge btw.

My Ford Edge SEL buttons are different. Power is in the center and defrost on the left. I hold both together for 3 seconds, then release, didn't see the blinking though, heard a few clicking. Still don't have heat.
Does anyone knows if the car has to be on or just the ignition key on?
What about a 2007? Dash is very different
