I love how humble this man is, he seriously asked for the own his own lyrics to his song that's insane to me. I'm dyslexic and my father is extremely dyslexic to see a songwriter. Ask for the song lyrics that something you don't see every day and really bring it all back down to earth

Artist have also been known to suddenly stop singing and turn the mic to have the crowd sing it , because they forgot the next verse and other creative things to divert from the fact they suddenly went blank. Agreed - I think it looks legit. What sold it to me was him being unsure of his own lyrics and also when he realised he would overpower her if they sang together, so stopped and encouraged her to sing alone. The ones who do the set-up versions of this seem to have egos the size of continents - they'd never choose to be caught on camera not knowing their lyrics or risk being outshone by a busker. I have a friend who met him when he came into the restaurant he works in. He had no idea who he was initially, but said he was lovely - no ego, but very polite and patient. The manager was clear that none of the staff were to fan-girl over him, but when Teddy realised that one of the waitresses was a big fan, he spoke to the manager (so she wouldn't get in trouble), took selfies with her, signed an autograph, and even offered to take more pics when he saw other staff members looking over, not in a "look who I am" way, but apparently so that nobody felt left out. My friend said he was very generous - with his time and money - without being overbearing or pretentious. So this video being genuine wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Yesterday I had never heard of this guy before. Randomly stumbled on a video of him singing in a pub, today this video pops out of nowhere. Had to look up his songs after seeing the video from the pub, and he actually sound better live than he does on recordings from his albums. These 2 videos definitely made me a fan.

Former UA-cam editor. There's a good chance it happened 'naturally', but unfortunately the OG busker could be attuned to knowing where certain artists live or like to shop in the first place. Otherwise, once he became involved, it's likely he or his label exerted both permission and influence on this video in some manner, explicit or implicit, and this was doctored to be the most complete and seamless "spontaneous" moment you could watch. He is not an independent artist as evidenced by the WMG tags in the descriptions. The fact that the video starts exactly before he walks by, is posted by an overwhelmingly new account, and has no links or directions to the OG busker or her live set other than a puny tagging of her handle leads me to believe this was a WMG corporate PR stunt in some capacity. How much direct involvement is hard to say. This does not detract from the possibility that Teddy could be acting as his genuine self here. This could be Teddy in his natural environment. Former UA-cam editor. There's a good chance it happened 'naturally', but unfortunately the OG busker could be attuned to knowing where certain artists live or like to shop in the first place. Otherwise, once he became involved, it's likely he or his label exerted both permission and influence on this video in some manner, explicit or implicit, and this was doctored to be the most complete and seamless "spontaneous" moment you could watch. He is not an independent artist as evidenced by the WMG tags in the descriptions.
The fact that the video starts exactly before he walks by, is posted by an overwhelmingly new account, and has no links or directions to the OG busker or her live set other than a puny tagging of her handle leads me to believe this was a WMG corporate PR stunt in some capacity. How much direct involvement is hard to say.
This does not detract from the possibility that Teddy could be acting as his genuine self here. This could be Teddy in his natural environment. But the stage is corporate, one way or the other.
